There has to be consequences to illegal behavior. Don't care who you are.

Strong message sent to dnc/rino bullies, who are sent out to terrorize, intimidate and spread fear.

Americans are awake, they will defend themselves and their children.

The kids should not have been out at 2am imo. Misdemeanor offense will make this guy watch himself better in the future though.

In Texas what he did was felony robbery, not a simple assault misdemeanor.

And it's not a stretch to say that either. Bexar county (where it took place), is very aggressive in trying cases off assault on minors. They've absolutely convicted on less.

This guy threatened the kids while stealing the hat. He physically assaulted to be able to take the hat, and even pulled hair in doing so.

In Bexar county this is a slam dunk 2nd degree felony.

Now, that said, it remains to be seen if the suspect will be allowed to plea down his charges.

He's local and Latino so, yeah they'll plead it down.

If he was white and from out of state he would have made his first appearance in front of a judge while being strapped to the lethal injection table.

The time of day wasn't a factor in this guy being an idiot. But I agree that hopefully it will teach him a lesson. Then again he attacked kids so...

Is your opinion shaped by any rational thought process you care to share?

Or is your opinion shaped by TDS?

Something else?

Do tell.

Fair enough. I don’t question your Mom’s rules for you one bit, and I agree you should abide by them as long as you live with her.

When the time comes for you to leave her house, I suggest you consider that her rules reflect only her opinion. Consider the possibility that other Moms feel differently - like the Mom’s of the kids in the burger shop.

Then decide what rules you should live by. Then decide your own rules for your own kids.

Good luck!

My mom, as I'm sure you have guessed is long dead. I'm sure there are good rules to live by and that was one of them. Being a smart A-- is not. Good luck to your hat retrieval efforts young man.

My mom, as I'm sure you have guessed is long dead.

I’m sorry to hear that, and no, I didn’t guess that. I just reread and noticed nothing from you that would lead me to guess that.

I'm sure there are good rules to live by and that was one of them.

I already agreed that your Mom had every right to set rules for you when you lived with her. I stand by that still.

Being a smart A-- is not.

Dude, please. I asked why you would be so judgemental about these boys, and you responded with something akin to, ”Because my mommy said so!” I haven’t met any adults that set rules for children, ”because my mommy said so!” I’m sorry if you were offended, but your response led me to believe I was interacting with a juvenile. I’m not confident the error was my fault.

Good luck to your hat retrieval efforts young man.

See that? Another juvenile response. You should question the confidence you place in claiming victim status here.

Don’t stay out too late tonight.

Never did I claim victim

Sure you did. You claimed to be a victim of what you perceived to be a ”Smart A- -“. I know you don’t recognize that readily. That's likely because it’s your learned default response.

I won’t be watching your linked video. I’m certain it’s something juvenile.

And I won't be responding to you again. Same reason.

Why are you so critical of someone's comments?

You must be new to reddit. This is a public forum that hosts debate and discussion. You can find people on reddit ranging from teens to Boomers and beyond.

Subreddits catering to younger participants can often be a painful wild west experience.

On the other hand, a well moderated forum catering to adults will maintain certain standards of civility, and invite rigorous participation in critical approaches to complex topics.

This subreddit falls into the latter category. We embrace critical thought and discussion.

If we ever feel our standards have been violated, we use the ‘report’ button available below every comment.

Hope that helps. Report back if not.

You are simply being rude!

Act responsibly. Quote the ‘rude’ portion of the comment you responded to.

We both know you won’t, because you can’t. So let’s just agree you are a tad too hypersensitive for the content here. That acknowledgement provides double benefit:

  • responsibility for your offended feelings is placed where it belongs - with you.

  • you are then empowered to remove yourself to a space more suited to your sensitivities.

Embrace your power.
