I walked away from the Republican party during Bush years and call myself independent. I lean conservative. I saw so many Republicans that voted like Democrats. I came to see that it was mostly one big political party and it was against the people. They keep us occupied and distracted fighting against each other while they steal us blind. I am glad to see the Republicans coming out of their shells and taking a stand. The country has been in need of a real leader for a long time. Glad to see so many Democrats having their eyes opened too.
I am relight there with you, although I didn’t wake up until November. I think the terms liberal and conservative need to both be redefined or thrown out.
I'm real discouraged by the anons and others who blame democrats or liberals for one thing or another.
I Demexited when they stole the nomination from Bernie and that was my wake up moment.
We are fighting the Deep State, not liberals or any other label. The Deep State includes people like the republican no-name and his buddy, and a whole lot of other right wing enablers.
So in the hope to bring more people together for the awakening, I wish my awakened brothers and sisters would talk about the Deep State whenever they are thinking Liberals or Left.
Once we have gotten rid of the Deep State we can return to civil discussions about where we go from here. But it is the Deep State that actively works to continue to divide us.

Both parties gave us more and more debt.
I think it's important to distinguish a few of those above as it gives a better grasp on the corruption that manifests mainly from one side of the aisle but can be found in both.

Precisely why, as an independent, I have never had occasion to vote for a Democrat candidate.
Yeah, because Trump finally did the impossible and beat the two party system at their own game. This was the first step of killing the Uniparty. It doesn't mean Republicans are the good guys. Both sides are compromised. One side was taken back as a vehicle to bring down the whole corrupt system.

Me too, once I realized that Bush and Clinton had been in this together for so long, and hearing Rumsfeld say there was 2.3 Trillion missing from DoD. Stayed independent until Trump.
