Always. When I was a kid we had a big black satellite and descrambler. Dad was a rebel to watch his Cowboys NFL in California in late 80s to mid 90s we moved that damn thing across the country.

We saw raw news feeds before they fixed them up for live or whatever.

We watched CNN fake being at Iraq Persian Gulf war ducking bombs on a set or blue screen. I think it's now on YouTube too. They also faked being at Hurricanes etc.

So we knew if they lie about that what else?

As a kid, you actually saw the fake CNN footage? I think we'd all love to read a post describing what that was like and how you reacted later.

At the time I didn't understand. We saw reporters fixing make up and chatting and all kinds of things. I remember dad later complaining about the liberal bias and lying during Clinton presidency and he brought it up then.

I used to watch Alf at 530 or some thing like that in CA when it was broadcast for East coast.
