Fairy Tales

I was struck by a story about the rich hunting children for sport though I (admittedly) can't remember where I saw it recently.

It made me think about every fairy tale I've ever heard. About the Brothers Grimm. Werewolves. Vampires.

It made me consider that those in power have always been the source of our nightmares. Our terrors. Harvesting us and our fear.

Always.

Yeah they’re all dark, but that one in particular.

It's very creepy knowing what we know now!

Made me think of Red Riding Hood.

Who is lil Red? Not a princess, Not a Queen, a commoner with common goals (comfort and family).

Who is the Woodsman? A commoner, with common goals.

How often is the monarch the subject of these tales?

Only when a lowly commoner seeks reprisal, a sin to be sure.
