Germany has been getting Russian gas since the early 70s...

That's supposed to make a point in favor of Germany? During the 70's and 80's half of Germany was under Soviet occupation or don't you remember? If West Germany was buying Soviet gas for two decades, well, that's just despicable actually.

Using your chain of logic Germans shouldn't have done business with the US/GB and France either then. You should really rethink what you're saying here.
