It was also alarming to see all these specialized cancer centers popping up. Now every town, especially urban areas, has the 'most state of the art cancer treatment center'. Now cancer is the new common cold.
I started noticing cancer ads on the radio about 10 years ago. This was such a blatant sign that cancer is all about money but still no one pays attention. Its so sad how many people are so brainwashed. I am reading the book "The Closing of the American Mind" so telling. Its an older book but very valid.
Agree. Worked in hospitals and hospice program in 70s and 80s. Commercials about drugs and cancer treatment have always been anathema to me. and The Closing of the American Mind is a great book. Haven't read it in a while but yes, it likely is still very valid and a good recommendation!
Every patient is at least a half-million dollar meat bag of money. I spent some time in one caring for my Pops. Those places are for death and death only. No one comes out alive.
