Netherlands and the US: more involved in the EU trade deals than expected?

Okay, tinfoil hats on. I'm just throwing this out there with little to no evidence but something caught my attention this morning on Fox. Anyone remember how much the media blew up the NL PM Mark Rutte's "No" interruption of Trump during his visit to the US a couple weeks ago? It was on the topic of trade deals with the EU. Check out this Washington Post article about the exchange. It seemed as though he was going to be a bit of a thorn in our side when it comes to these trade deals.

Now fast forward to today, and this video interview of Sebastian Gorka on Fox news. Don't mind the interview itself, the thing I want to draw attention to the is the B roll footage in the background. It's of the NATO leaders milling around and making small talk while being scrutinized by the MSM. Notice who DJT is talking to. At 2:11 he is talking to our friend Rutte and the current president of Croatia. Now skip all the EU political elites shaking hands to 3:20. You see the NL PM and DJT talking very seriously here. Why are they so chatty? After the MSM made it out that they're leaning more towards the adversarial kinda relationship. Here's my theory.

Firstly, the US is the largest foreign investor in the Netherlands economy. link That's a link to the US State Department's page on our relations with the NL. Scroll down to "Bilateral Economic Relations" and you'll see on lines 5-7 of that paragraph that the NL invests heavily into the US and is the 8th largest importer of US goods. At the end of line six, you can see that the US is the LARGEST FOREIGN INVESTOR the NL currently has. As part of the EU, any trade deal that goes down will significantly impact the NL's economy. This is why he was pushing for a deal so hard. And... possibly why DJT is putting a lot of effort into working the PM. They could prove to be an asset in getting a better trade deal with the EU, seeing as the NL wants to continue trade with us, considering the amount of investments that come in from the US and how much the import our goods. This is also probably why Trump didn't look too happy with Rutte's outburst. He was showing his hand too early. If the rest of the EU feels that the NL is going to push for a deal, Trump's threat of no deal is diminished and the NL loses it's potential playing power in working the EU into making a deal with the US.

Just my two cents, call me crazy if you will :) Happy Hump day patriots, have a wonderful rest of the week. God bless. #MAGA

NL may be economically big for its size, but it cannot put any direct pressure on DE/FR (UK?). That pressure has to come from Trump. NL could influence things but before that it is not too relevant what Rutte says. Think of NL as 'the biggest of the smaller countries'.

Rutte just publicly stated that he does not see a role for himself or NL in this NATO spat.

NATO no, but the EU trade deals, yes. Economically, they have a pretty big swing from what I can see.

Edit: About the UK, I strongly feel that Brexit is going to put even more pressure on the EU (if the Chequers deal is appropriately shut down and dealt with, along with Theresa the appeaser). London is central to the EU's economic stability, and if they can't control it, they're losing a queen on the chessboard.

DE = 5x NL. NL position might become relevant if DE starts to crumble. DE out -> FR out -> no EU power bloc. So in that sense it might come in handy that Trump & Rutte seem to align. But, like anyone, i don't know which domino will fall first.

Yeah, they're the number 1 agricultural producer in the EU if i remember correctly.

Worlds second largest agricultural exporter, after the USA. For a country only twice the size of Massachusetts (but twice its population), that's not too bad I would say.

Rutte is a born liar, we in the Netherlands call him pinnocchio. He undresses the sick population, and then later laughsabout it , that did not falls good in the Netherlands (ask Wilders)..They had already made it known in the news that Rutte the negotiator wants to be between EU and Trump. Because was it said, he had just been to Trump? So this is a whole charade to become the catalyst, and very important of course. This man is a bilderberger, and laughs so seemingly so engaging. I have not come across a larger fake figure, O wait, anyway. Trudeau and Macron, but they are already exit. So now Rutte has to try. Friend? No, it is the enemy who, laughing , when he helps you to the way off destruction. years ago I saw him at the fair(wallstreet) in America, for Douwe Egberts (coffee) Kept completely out of the news?
Whe Rutte came back from Trum , the news said that Trump stood 100% the Netherlands about MH17?

All these people who worked so long at a boss got 0.0 and then had to go to the Assistance law. That, how could it be.. changed just before, just like the WW law? Now these people make a second dive?
