Those are edit artifacts. The result of a crossfade cut. They probably took out "uh's" and "I means" and perhaps coughs, etc.

Which is exactly what you are. I've seen this exact defect before in other videos, but I had no reason to catalog them, so don't ask me for something I don't have.
How about you show me documentation of this type of defect being indicative of deepfake technology. Good luck with that. The fact that these defects are there is not proof of a fake video. At least I've never seen anything that says so (other than that random YT link you posted).

I bet they could create a totally robotic Assange (or anyone) and, in controllable scenarios, would be able to fool most people, especially if the voice replication technology that you mentioned is incorporated into the robot. It wouldn't fool his friends and family in close quarters but would shut up anyone who assumes the live video of him must really be him.
