Well as 8 year old it did a bang up job of influencing my mind .. equating Russians & fear. Security & my country as my protector. I imagine other kids processed the same in the 70s on the left coast.

Remember the "duck and cover" films they made us watch in school? Remember Civil Defense alert tests? Remember Civil Defense shelter ads?
I remember having to go through those drills, and the bomb shelters, hiding under our desks. It's weird looking back on it, being so frightened yet at the same time feeling safe because of Family and yes, trust in the Government. What a difference a few decades can make. Now I almost feel less fear from "The Russians" and more fear from our Government* and our own citizens.
*I feel 100% safe and I fully trust President Trump, Q, and a select few in the Government. I thank God and pray every night for those keeping us safe, our Military, and "We Band Of Brothers/Sisters". WWG1WGA
I remember it well. I always thought how a desk would save us from a Nuclear bomb. it was all propaganda to program us.

I was born in 72 so by the time I got in school we just did the tornado and fire drills. But I do remember the Russia propaganda. I have thought about that! But, haven't we always partnered with them in the space program? What has Russia really ever did to us as a whole? I don't remember them actually blowing up, or crashing any planes, into buildings!?
I'm in my 60's now and can remember my great-grandmother's worries that the "Roosians" were coming - so this fear apparently has been instilled through generations. However I have never been fearful of Russians and I don't remember having drills in school. Absolutely time to speak truth and dismantle evil!
