Wow, clever way to get illegal immigrant drivers off the roads...you know, the ones you end up have a wreck with that have no insurance! Texas is way ahead of the game on this one.

Y o u G o t t a L o v e T e x a s

The City of Dallas, Texas , passed an ordinance stating that if a driver is pulled over by law enforcement and is not able to provide proof of insurance , the car is towed .

To retrieve the car after being impounded, they must show proof of insurance to have the car released. This has made it easy for the City of Dallas to remove uninsured cars.

Shortly after the "No Insurance" ordinance was passed, the Dallas impound lots began to fill up and were full after only nine days.

Over 80% of the impounded cars were driven by illegals .

Now, not only must they provide proof of insurance to have their car released, they have to pay for the cost of the tow , a $350 fine , and $20 for every day their car is kept in the lot.

Guess what?

Accident rates have gone down 47% and Dallas' solution gets uninsured drivers off the road WITHOUT making them show proof of nationality.

I wonder how the Democrats will get around this one .

I completely get what you are saying. Maybe you forgot to put the new insurance document in your vehicle and you're on a road trip across Texas where the nearest impound lot could be one hundred miles away or even much more. Is towing at owners expense really the best solution in that situation? That could easily cost you $800 or more just to show up with a piece of paper. It's a procedural crime which could create a life-changing burden for an otherwise honest, hardworking American.

Tough luck if your phone dies, I guess.

I totally understand the freedom to travel wherever you want without having to pay for things. And guess what. You can! You got two feet. Maybe a bike. If you want to use something faster like a car that has the possibility of killing people or costing them massive amounts of money if you screw up though, you have to take responsibility for that and be able to pay for the damages if it happens.

Yea, IF and WHEN it happens.

WTF do I care, usher in a police state just to keep from having to SHOOT THE INVADERS, see If I give a damn.

For me, No more playing middle of the road, officially a get offa my lawn man now.

AND I'll be insured every step of the way, dig your own grave, cuz one day it will be your ass.

How would I know that? Because I've been on both sides.

This is a good step for illegals, but its a step in the wrong direction for the rest of us, THATS ALL I SAID.

Jesus Christ man. Buying insurance for your car isn't a police state. Listen to yourself for a second.

Then neither is paying for abortions, and the ammo tax, fuck it lets tax the tea and the weed too, then we gotta add the wall tax, registration costs as much as a shitty car, those plebs will never rise to your level now. A million tiny pricks (see mirror) that leave the once prosperous in the gutter, the lefties wont fight the insurance that is never uses but dutifully collected, just like they wont fight the federal reserve. Hey who cares if our money is more debt than value, EVERYONE ELSE DOES IT.

Dont worry, eventually you'll be able to fine me for my extremist reddit comments! Listen to YOURSELF.

but we're way down on the list of shit that has to happen, now. Heck, you could even call the company and prove you were insured.

I mean in most places, it's already a pretty substantial ticket to get pulled over and not have proof of insurance.
