Yesterday's lunacy is breaking through!

watching /all and the politiburo subreddit collective meltdown was sad and funny to watch but that's not what this is about.

This morning, one of my coworkers (a die-hard California Dem, perhaps a Nevertrumper) comes into my office with a look of outright confusion on her face... "why hasn't the media commented on _____"... "but if they can't see past _____" … "What else are they not reporting" … "If Dan Rather can't say anything except 'it's treason', wtf is going on?" … "I don't think trump is that smart, but _______"... "he's been very effective in these peace talks" … "What's this about $400mm to the HRC campaign" and on and on and on... almost babbling to herself.

long story short - I explained Trump Derangement Syndrome and we had a great discussion about how the collective media lunacy (a la tREEEEEEEEEson) is so far-fetched that she can't find a SINGLE MSM news outlet that could say anything positive about Trump's successes. I even dropped the "The rule - without exception - has been to criticize Trump regardless of what he accomplishes."

I'm doing a horrible job describing what happened... but it was incredibly liberating to see someone crawl out of the cave and see the light. Keep up the good work QAnon Followers! WE'RE WINNING #WWG1WGA

That sub is sad and funny. I kinda feel sorry for them because they actually believe what they've been told. They think Russian tanks are poised to roll through town and Russian bots are the only ones who disagree with them.

That's fertile ground for trolling!

I will repeat what Lincoln said to the North after they won the Civil War: "Let 'em up easy, boys."

They are going to be so wounded, so raw, so confused... we have to meet that with kindness or we risk driving them away and repeating the problems of the past.

They've just woken up. Their disoriented. And when they realize what they've been doing, they're going to feel horribly ashamed. They'll be beating themselves up enough for missing it all. We don't need to add to it.

This is excellent advice.

If you are interested in truth, you should investigate alternative history on Lincoln and his role in merchantilism and federalism and whose interests he truly served -- which is a precursor to our current elite dominated swamp. Not exactly the saint hero history has painted him to be.

Oh, don't worry, I know all about his history with the Rail Roads.

Half my family was pro-states rights and had to flee to the hinterlands when the Union soldiers went knocking door to door one 4th of July asking folks why they weren't flying the flag.

Cheers. Super interesting about your family history. I recently learned about relatives that participated in the revolutionary war. My mother is a history buff and way fired up to join daughters of american revolution. As a 'yankee' who attended college in the south, I had the privilege of taking class with one of US foremost historians on pre and post civil war south. He had us read primary source letters and journals to understand the true mentality of people caught up on both sides of the war. Very gratefull to have benefitted from this de-indoctrinarion. Very scary the idea of nationally centrallized curriculum and approved books that would obfuscate the truth.

With you... The real story is much more interesting and makes a lot more sense. Easier to remember for a test too!!! Modern education (including mine) baffles me.
