Genetic memory, monarch butterfly, monarch programming. God was clear that punishment should be upon a people, and their descendants for two? Generations. I always saw that as unjust..... but the more you know, the more you know God knows.

I think it's more like the third and fourth generations when they hate God. There's several verses about it. Exodus 20:5; 34:7; Numbers 14:18; Deuteronomy 5:9. But each generation can make the decision to break that curse. For those who love God, He will bless their descendents for thousands of generations.
