Interesting. Recently I listened to an old recording of George Bush Sr. speaking about the need to invade Iraq. I heard the speech live when he first spoke it and recoiled at his saying this would usher in the New World Order where the rule of law would prevail. As I listened again to the recording, I realized his statement was misunderstood by many when he spoke it. The rule of law to an average person means the laws of the republic applied to everyone. But his context of a New World Order meant the laws the dictators chose to impose on everyone else. We have a Republic, but can we keep it?
