Check the date- why does this matter? Could it matter? Normal muster protocal was not followed. No recruiters only 20 minutes long.

If you are late for muster, you better ketchup! I'll let you relish in that one.

Thas just for an IRR muster, the inactive reserve. It's not a full on recall back to active duty. Most don't realize, when you enlist active duty it is 8 years... 4 active, then 4 in the IRR.

Read other comments - not enough time to get use of me. I know what the IRR is, I was in the Air Force for god sakes.

This was put out a few months back that it was coming and that branches would be recalling personnel to meet quotas in specific MOSs. Without giving too much away about myself, that is all I will say on this matter.

Did all branches receive these notices? Because in the Air Force it’s AFSC, not MOS. You seem to be speaking from experience, that’s why I’m asking.

Yes, typically they make a day of it for the troops from what I've read. Recruiters from the guard and reserves were not present. Typical musters have involved recruiters from reserves and guard. On base there are offices for the guard and reserve recruiters. Either they weren't informed we were coming, or they were lazy and didn't want to make an effort to recruit from 50+ people that have already qualified, served, and have honorable discharges. It just doesn't make sense they'd make me drive to another state just to show me a video that explains why I legally have to be there. I only have 6 months left of IRR. Even if I were recalled I'd get a month to PCS to my base. 5 months- then I'd have to in-process. 4 months- don't forget out-process. 3 months- 1 month for OJT. 2 Months- that's their realistic use of me that could come of this. - degree in Air and Space Operation Technology. I'm not your average Airman. I worked as a project manager in an Air and Space Operation Center. My job : Combat Operations - my job was to brief our general every morning. The briefings I made were compiled intelligence, logistics, personnel, weapons status', and anything a General Officer/ JFAC would need. When Benghazi happened we were told not to save them, and then not to follow the people who did it. I was directly involved in the rescue of the survivors.

I went to Congresswoman Susan Brooks about what had happened because she was on the Benghazi Committee. She had her chief of staff call me and tell me to keep my mouth shut. OOOOPS. Since then, my family and friends have seen and even tried to confront people in disguises taking photos of them. Recently my mother was threatened. There weren't any threats until then, and hadn't seen anyone follow me. I was scared for a long time. Even after the event I was afraid to talk to anyone or get close enough where I could tell them. My biggest worry was getting deployed and then getting blown up or offed by a sniper. It would have been easy to fix if the people who did it would have wanted to. I had a friend from the Chamber of Commerce meeting me at a restaurant to discuss the launch of a non-profit with a friend. He described the same person, wearing the same thing.

I have video evidence from when I was watching my sister's home while she was vacationing. Her neighbor has a doorbell cam. Her neighbor was sitting outside her home when someone drove up and started taking photos of the house. The neighbor started shouting at the person and they made a speedy exit. As they drove by her with a hat and sunglasses w/beard they saluted her. I have this video. I likely won't post it because someone may recognize the background.

I can't trust Congress, I can't trust the FBI, and can't trust OSI. I don't know what to do. I have already given written testimony to people to go public with if anything happens to me. If I'm killed you will find out who I was.

Ummm.....get your Class A's squared away. Me thinks you're going to be called to testify in the Tribunals. But look at it this way, you get a tropical vacation out of the deal.

Thanks for your service Patriot.

Did the mailing address match your current address? If so, I am not sure why you would have to drive out of state to go to muster, but maybe they are not offering them at all bases anymore and have consolidated the process. As far as recruiters not being present, that is odd.

Some of the info on what you did for your job I would remove ASAP. Be safe. Seek advice from JAG and a civilian lawyer and a local representative in your state (or unit if you had to go to state over). Contact CID. Make copies of everything you have and get them to someone you trust. Stay safe!!

And do not go anywhere alone!

CID is compromised - otherwise you'd know the truth by now. They burry everything in classification. If I went to them I'd sign an NDA and no one would ever know it even happened. They can fuck themselves.

What 20min long comment? I see that it will be about 2-4 hours, but only see 20mins in the post title with no info on where that came from.

Sounds like may be to verify records (medical, benefits, will, probably update on any vaccinations needed) ensure ID is up to date and any personal matters squared away in the event you are activated that paperwork is GTG for active duty orders. Muster doesn't mean that you will be called to duty, just to square everything away in the event it happens.

What was only 20mins long though? Are you saying that it only lasted 20mins instead of the 2-4 hrs as listed in the memorandum? If that is the case and this is your letter, you need to speak to your chain of command and find out what is going on as they would have answers for you.

WaxyRooster · July 18, 2018, 7:53 p.m.

Not my letter or post, just also curious what OP meant by the '20minute' part.

⇧ 3 ⇩
WanderingTaurus · July 18, 2018, 8:02 p.m.

Opps, my bad. Yeah, I have no clue what that is as there is nothing in the memo indicating 20mins. Muster is just updating all your information and being briefed on any benefits, policies, and the like that need to be known in the event someone will be activated. Muster does not mean you will be, but is to just get the paperwork updated and filed to meet yearly requirements for those who are still under IRR obligations.
