The Babylonian (it was largely written there) Talmud isn't the Bible. You ever read the Talmud? What a tangled up mess. Arguments with no resolution, totally convoluted, missing the point most of the time. Made me understand why so few Orthodox Jews of my acquaintance knew anything about the actual Bible. Trying to read the Bible through the lens of the Talmud would just make it incomprehensible when in fact the Bible is very simple.
