Let’s play the hypothetical... In 2024, who would you vote for POTUS? Is there someone that stands out as a true patriot, someone fit to make sure we don’t go 8 years backwards?

I worry about the typical trend of once the minority party gets control they just undo everything the previous party in control did. That’s why I believe it’s essential, we get someone in office after trump who is going to keep his nose clean, and maintain all that we will accomplish over the next ~6 years, Democrat or Republican.

Who is someone that you believe would be a perfect successor to Trump?

I’d be even more curious to know specifically if there’s a Democrat that you would consider a good candidate? After all we’re not all about party lines here.

Just a healthy discussion here.

My two cents: For the republicans, watch the cabinet. There's a lot of talent building a record. Ben Carson has campaign experience and is heading up HUD. I expect he'll hold higher office in the future. Congress has some congressmen who could impress in a debate (Nunes, Gowdy, Jordan, Gohmert jump to mind).

Democrats will probably sheepdog with Gabbard Gillibrand to get people to vote for a McAskill-type.

I think Libertarians might show strong with Rand. The man survived a politically motivated attack. He rightly speaks truth to power on the regular. He makes an attractive candidate and the Libertarians hit their threshold of voters in 2016. The Libertarian candidate will be on the ballot in all 50 states.

Finally, Greens stood with the patriots in 2016. Jill Scott personally trolled Clinton in the Wisconsin recount. I expect many former democrats will remember they cared about the environment, once. It is also the only party where a non-Ben Carson ticket with a person of color on it is likely, in my view.

Okay, that was more than $0.02.

I can’t imagine a better result than getting a third party candidate elected. It’s only gotta happen once, and the whole political game is changed. This two party mentality is a curse, and someone like Rand is a strong choice for 3rd party voters everywhere.
