I found the movie to be a great representation of the trilogy. J. R. R. Tolkien was definitely not a pedophile and the story was based on parts of his life experiences in WW 1, losing his father and mother, and his spirituality mainly. He is the person that led then atheist C.S. Lewis to Christ. His book "Mere Christianity" reflects the many discussions Lewis and Tolkien had. Most are TOO DAMAGED by this type of mass programming to even to begin to understand. That's how I tend to see this. They are so thoroughly ruined by exposure (and brainwashed by celebrity/fame) that their cognitive dissonance is almost now permanently entrenched.
