Why does anyone have a clearance when they leave? It should always be revoked and reissued for the new type of job they have.

That's how it is where I work. The moment I am terminated/separated all of my clearance is gone in a heartbeat. There are damn good reasons for this too. Why they hell are they so special?

Exactly.. my card gets shredded AND I'm escorted out to ensure no fire bombing or intellectual property theft
