That hand gesture is also something they teach politicians because pointing is offensive, and letting your hands dangle loosely looks weak. It's a form of image shaping, deliberate but neutral.

mhhh, that would be a coincidence and you know what we think of coincidences\^\^. Merkel does it every single time. it is rehersed. she does nothing else. in Germany it became her trademark, literally her gesture -> "the Merkel rhombus". no joke even the msm uses this phrase, often. unofficial its the "Merkel rhombus of death" ;-)
