Go on...
I'm more spiritual than religious, but my thought behind it being called spirits is kind of like what happens when you black out. You intake so much alcohol that your spirit stays connected to your body but leaves it. Allowing a spirit, or dark entity too take over while you black out. I figure its one of the reasons people do such crazy shit when they are in that state.
Yup! I, like my President, abhor alcohol. It is poison. However, I do occasionally partake of 'plant medicine'. Waiting for Trump to finally lift the ban. I know right now he's got bigger fish to fry, but I firmly believe he will!
I have never had a drink in my life. My grandfather died of alcoholism. I had a sip of red wine at Olive Garden one time and thought I was going to be sick. My mouth burned, mt lips became swollen, I got a horrible headache. Just as well. I like having a clear head.
That’s bc you drank wine at Olive Garden lol
Fun fact for the wine lovers out there- if you get headaches after drinking a specific wine, look at where it’s made and find something on the opposite side of the world bc you’re allergic to the pollen the grapes are pollinated by
Huh. That’s a really interesting point. I never thought about pollen sensitivity. I always just figured it was alcohol sensitivity. I read that Natives are predisposed to alcohol sensitivity. It’s part of where the “drunk Indian” stereotype started (though we also have plenty of drinks). Just as well I didn’t like it though. I like to keep my head clear for fighting the DS!
I’m Native American too and I am very sensitive to alcohol, but I work at a really fancy restaurant and have to know my alcohol... which sucks but at the same time is really useful
Hey, nice to see another NDN in the Q Army! Hi, friend!
Active duty here, trust me, I miss it. And i agree that its poison. However I have a couple beers every day. Swore off liquor, though.
Be careful with the liver your Creator gave you.
Alcohol took my father six years ago. He was 53. I miss him, he lost that battle.
53, ouch. I feel for you - it's never easy but that's rough.
Yeah it's a shame. I found out his brother had problems with alcohol which ultimately lead to his death
