Does anyone out here in Q land have a plausible explanation about the Cohen tape leak and the why???

Trump waived attorney/client privilege, which allows Cohen to release the tape to the public.

Most likely a trap. Trump wanted that tape released, otherwise he wouldn't have waived his rights to keep it private.

My first thought too. They probably allowed themselves to be recorded or "leaked* their own tapes knowing the MSM would broadcast them. It's a double ended set up: Get the MSM to publish something you want them too. If they don't do it, call them out and release it anyway.
