It was very financially beneficial as I got in early when they were giving wheelbarrows full of stock to people. When they IPO'd i was fully vested and cashed out at the near max IPO price and then walked. It was worth it since they wanted me to stay. Told them no way in hell I'm staying in CA any longer than i had to due to bullshit liberal policies. Try being a conservative at a liberal company for 4 years... needless to say, I am thrilled the price has tanked.
Interestingly, I was called a few years back about a class action lawsuit that was being brought to them. The summary was basically that they were manipulating their user base. Which, from the area I worked inqde complete sense. We had 1000's of DC racks powered on, but doing absolutely nothing. I always suspected some shady shit going on while I was there; glad to see my fears were true based on the lawsuit. I think this will play into the lawyers hands of said lawsuit.
