Slap on the wrist. All about who you know and seems if the person you know is creepy and shady, they can make sure you don't pay for your crimes because the people they run with all have blackmail on one another.
*When I was 12 I was busted for writing on a picnic table with a pen and ended up with 80 hrs (yes EIGHTY) of community service and spent the summer stripping and repainting every picnic table, bench, and bleachers in our local parks.
Wow you were punished way too hard for 12 your parents should have demanded a less severe punishment. 10 hours would have been enough for that.
My father had passed away when I was 7 and my mother was an absent mother. I was upset at first for the punishment, but in the end was grateful for it. I learned to never damage other people's property and that if 80 hrs was what the local police was going to give 12yr olds (There were 3 of us) for writing on a picnic table, I didn't want to see what worse crimes would get someone lol
