A prayer for Humanity

Creator, I humbly ask that you watch over Humanity during this time of great change. There are those who will not understand the gifts you offer, and they will need to feel the warmth of love and light. Provide strength for those who fight to free themselves from the tendrils of darkness. Provide comfort and succor to those in need during this time of transition. Provide clarity to those who cannot see the light, so that they may recognize the light. Provide courage for those who are scared, so they have the strength to seek the light. I ask this not for me, but instead for Humanity, so that WE may live together in unity.

A prayer of service

Creator, I choose of my own free will not to lift myself up to glory, but instead to lift up all those who choose to seek the knowledge that has been hidden in the shadows of darkness. I choose to work for the lost souls who need aid in finding the light, so that one day I may be worthy of your gifts of love and light.

Prayer of the lost and weary

Creator, I stumble through darkness seeking the light that once filled my soul. For years the darkness has strangled my soul. I feel the tendrils of darkness tighten as I struggle to escape its powerful grasp. It strives to pull me down further into the abyss. It instills the desire to give in and let the darkness take me. I grow weary as I fight to free my soul from the chains of darkness. Therefore, I humbly ask you, Creator, to guide me in these times of weakness when the darkness blinds me and I am unable to find the flame of light that burns within my soul. Provide me the courage to strike out into the darkness without fear. Provide me sight so that I may recognize the light once I have found it. Provide me determination so that I may battle the darkness for control of my soul. Provide me the humility to ask for forgiveness for the time I dwelt in the dark so that that the light may grow inside me. Assist me, Creator, in stoking the fire of light that I seek, so that I can transform it into a beacon for all men. I ask this not for me, but for all of Humanity. I choose to seek the light.

Creator, watch over the protectors of humanity that toe the line of good and evil. Bless these sons and daughters of light and forgive them for what they must do. Fill their hearts with light and courage, so that they may stare into the face of darkness and laugh. Protect these warriors of light and watch over them as they do what few are willing to do. For these souls are willing to walk in the dark, so that the light may shine on each of us.

Cobra's The Portal was the blog that kickstarted it all for me. It sparked my imagination and my desire to research both supporting and contrasting information on what he offered. It was the catalyst for me to remember how to think critically. How to absorb, consider, and determine usefulness/truthfulness rather than flippantly decide based on what I thought I knew.
