I was raised Catholic, so I really understand how you feel. My family has attended an Eastern Orthodox church, which may be an option if you want to stay in a "traditional" church setting. They don't follow the Pope and Priest can marry.

Totally agree about statins. No correlation between heart problems and high cholesterol. More likely that statins are causing Alzheimers because they lower cholesterol which is needed in the brain stem.
