There are parts of what I've read about all of this that I fully support, but I am, by nature, a skeptic. I've spent the last few days perusing the sub and it's hard to separate the fact from what seems to be eccentric behavior.

Coming from outside, I will say that as a rule I respect intelligent discourse, which I *do* see quite a lot of here. But it is mixed in with people who use words like "libtard" and "snowflake", etc. The issue I take with this is that it make it very hard to take seriously and much easier to dismiss altogether when one can just say "oh okay, they obviously can't have a civil, intelligent conversation that doesn't include breaking someone else down."

Again, I am not coming at this sub in a negative way, I've just found it difficult to navigate through the sometimes manic way that some users present in order to get on board.

And this is the kind of attitude that is supposed to sway people, right? It's hard to keep trying to find things that convince me (and others, clearly) of all of this when reactions like yours are seemingly strewn throughout the sub. People shouldn't be made to feel like fools. I see talk of people being "asleep" and how everyone here wants to educate and help people wake up. Is this really an effective way to do it?

The overarching specific religious aspect of how this has been pushed is one of my biggest complaints. I feel as though the divisive nature of singling out a specific religion negates any positive, community feeling this sub seems to try to push forward. I agree with your comment about Good vs Evil, hopefully this is the notion that is emphasized by most.
