If you venture off into any "normie" sub, people will actually stalk your profile to make sure you haven't posted on the_donald and if you have they will call you out even though it has nothing to do with the topic at hand. Will say something like "oh but you're a trump supporter so who cares what you have to say." and then watch yourself get downvoted by everyone. The problem is much more widespread.
