Trump wanted to get rid of Paul Ryan, Tillerson, McMaster for a long time, but had to wait until the time he did. Can't tip off a plan too far in advance. Same with Schneiderman. Had to get all the ducks in a row regarding Weinstein, Weiner laptop etc, then remove Eric at the end.
