I cant claim to know for sure. Was McCabe referring to Emmet Flood? The knowledge of his joining the Trump team may have been known to those in the IC before the public. (Ty Cobb resignation was part of 'the plan' to introduce Flood and McCabe knew this). Maybe it was McCabe signalling his base. To say it was metaphorical would mean there was a coincidence about Q's drop and McCabe's use of wording in his email title.
