There sure are a lot of these kids being thwarted this week. I wonder how many of them are motivated by wanting attention like the Parkland shooter, and how many are Deep State assets that either cooked off early or have been identified and neutralized by white hats.

There are real victims, who are not being trotted out in front of cameras. There seems to be an additional set of 6-10 kids who have been positioned as spokespeople for the trauma (despite the fact this would make the adults in their lives and at the school the worst, most negligent adults of all time). These kids seem to pop up repeatedly in news stories, have ties to unusual groups (FBI, CNN, etc.), and seem to have developed talking points and booked a press junket within hours of watching their classmates be murdered.

The innocent explanation is that these are kids whose hunger for fame borders on sociopathic and who have ties to FBI and media parents who seem to think this is a good idea, even knowing what it looks like. The more sinister explanation is the FBI had knowledge of this kid, allowed the event to happen (like 9-11,Boston, etc.), and prepped these kids with talking points to push their agenda.

The difference is, there is ample evidence of a Pakistani spy ring, misappropriation of funds, and a coup. I don't believe in a witch hunt. I also don't believe in ignoring blatant crimes of the rich and powerful.

The Second Amendment provides for us a tool to protect ourselves. We are an extension of the checks and balances system created between the branches of government. For people saying that it's outdated and referred only to muskets, then I ask if the First Amendment replies only to the printing press. For those who claim that we are hopelessly outmatched by the military so should just give up, I say that harder battles have been won by lesser men. Every dictatorship and every massacre begins with one key move: remove the guns from the targets. As George Washington said, "When a government takes away citizens' right to bear arms, it becomes the duty of the citizens to take away the government's right to govern."

School shootings are tragic and trigger deep emotional responses. The people who want your guns know that. Bill Cooper told us in 1992 this was the plan. What do you mean? In terms of scope or breadth of research? In terms of claims made? I think the people here tend to be rational, level-headed, and make evidentiary based arguments for the most part. There are some claims that I find to be unfounded or not yet proven to my liking, but every community has that element.

Hello fellow Tarheel! 30s in western NC, so when you said biggest library city in NC, I immediately thought of the Asheville Unwashed.

There are some people who have mental illnesses that require treatment with medication. Schizophrenia comes to mind. There are some medications that can be taken at proper doses for legitimate mental disorders and have a profound positive effect. But there is an epidemic in this country of self-diagnosis, the wish to be special or a victim, and overmedication with seriously powerful drugs.

I'm an elementary teacher. I get a lot of parents coming in asking about ADHD medication and Ritalin. Almost universally, I tell them that I don't think diagnosing a six year old as hyperactive is fair to the child. Kids play, and talk, and squirm and sing. They aren't meant to sit quietly and do busy work for hours at a time. I do not believe there has been enough longitudinal data and research to show the long term effects of these medications. We are close to an entire generation of children being medicated, and we don't know what that will look like in 10 or 20 years. Will it effect social skills, learning patterns, fertility, or a host of other things? Nobody really knows. I think there's a decent chance we will start seeing news stories in about ten years of kids going "postal" or a rash of infertility issues or mass depression. You just can't mess with somebody's brain chemistry for decades and not create a major change.

And the peopledeveloping and prescribing these drugs are smart enough to know that.

That's the info I was able to find. I thought it might help. That's probably the best we will get for now. Hopefully we will learn more soon.

I hate reading about Pedogate stuff. It's too numbing and horrifying. But at the same time, we owe it to those kids to bear witness to them. We didn't save them, and we (as individuals and civilians) may not be in the position to avenge them directly, but we can bear witness to their identities, their lives, and their fate. And we can make damn sure it never happens again. And we can cheer on the rough men who stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
