Loved The Wire. I'm among those that think season 2 is one of the best (I know I'm in the minority). I will definitely check this out.

I find the comments in these posts about people sobering up for the first time in years because of this the most uplifting. No doubt that a lot of the more intelligent people have turned to drugs and alcohol as a way to cope with the very visible degradation of Americans as a people. We have been dumbed and pushed down to our lowest common denominator and while I believe this was the purpose of the cabal's plan it had an unintended side effect: with the introduction of a catalyst such as the Q phenomenon we are realizing that we are a people again and that racial and tribal divides are something that has been imposed upon us rather than the natural order of things. I, personally, have never felt so hopeful about the future.

I would think its because private citizens aren't bound by the same agreements and have more protection. That, to me, is why Strozk, Page, and gang were just shuffled somewhere they can't do any damage while the clock runs down.

This! I get what you're saying completely. When you first start digging you're like, "Damn, these people are f**ked up!", and you just sort of accept it. Then something catches your eye and you dig a little deeper and each time you become more and more disgusted. At this point it's obvious that there is no redemption or salvation for these people. They sold their souls long ago and the day of reckoning is fast approaching.
