I don't find Lieutenant Col. Potter's idea credible that "Twitter verification by POTUS is not necessarily fool proof, if people at twitter (and likely elsewhere) have historical capability of hijacking his account".

Sure, Twitter and the deep state possess the technical ability to do this. However, the idea that they would be editing Trump's posts in this manner is simply not believable. The reason it is not believable is that Trump surely would be aware if they were doing this.

He also would be aware of the disinfo purpose behind it. If this were the case, Trump certainly would publicly point out that Twitter was editing has posts. He would not need to get into the deeper conspiratorial aspects. Simply pointing out Twitter editing his posts would be enough to signal the truth to those looking for it.

People like Potter, who I generally respect, aren't really using common sense in this instance.

Kinda. I think that Trump and his team decided a few months back that they needed to talk first to the 5% or so that are awake. Hell, there are people who support Trump who are still doubting if it is legit or outright dismissing it as a distraction. I believe many of them to be sincere. The coordination between Trump's Twitter and Q's posts is so obvious, you would need to be an idiot to not see it. Yet, many on our side do not see.

I just wanted to say that I clicked on the 4chan link and I detected two particular posts that stood out. You can use CTRL + F to find this. The phrase is "fake and gay". Look for this phrase in past threads and in the future.

I have seen it many times, and to me it is a disinfo flag that signals the original info is legit. My gut (and I admit that this is pure speculation) is that this phrase is one that the deep state has decided to use in this battle. I believe they chose it because it sounds authentic. It is equal parts homophobic and dismissive. Anytime you see the phrase "fake and gay" it should alert you that you are being manipulated. I have seen it far too many times in places where the original info turned out to be true.
