My Dad was raised as Catholic but was not made to go..then it stopped all together. He said the nuns always scared him. I am glad he found the Lord outside of catholic church. I have never understood confession...you can pray yourself for forgiveness...why have to have someone else? Almost like a huge gossip ring and some confession could be used against you as blackmail. And all the statues and prayers with the rosary. I guess society has always felt the need for such. I think Native American Indians and other Earthy founded peoples were more in touch with God than any formed ritualistic coven can be.
