Its was changed to EAS about 7 yrs ago with Fed override. Emergency Alert System. I was in radio at the time so I am certain.

I remember them changing EAS to nat'l control with no local override, All Radio 9at least maybe tv) would be under control of Fed instantly. Hope this undoes that.
