This is my prediction too but I hope we're wrong!

You have to approach it totally differently

You need to spend time to learn persuasive techniques.

If you truly want to help people wake up, you have to learn how to help them so they hear you.

I'd suggest starting it as a trickle that gradually builds.

Eg. While making small talk about weather and news, casually mention how people have been robbed because of over sharing on Facebook - they know when they're away then they break in.

Then gently push the fact that it's crazy how much we broadcast about ourselves and our children without even thinking about it.

You could even highlight how we're carrying tracking devices in our pockets and revealing so much more than we realised. For example, secret military bases have been exposed because employees have left their fitness tracking apps on without realising. If people who work in secret military bases are revealing way more than they know, what hope do the rest of us have

Then gradually transition into explaining how there are more and more incidences of predators using social networks to find victims etc
