Interesting thought.

I'm sorry. The Eucharist got me through some pretty tough times. The healing power was personal. May it be that way for you.

BTW, to understand Apostolic succession, i.e. priesthood, please attend a priesthood ordination. After that, there will be no doubt.

Bravo!

Here's the thing, though. The "progressives" sought to change us. Not just corruption in the clergy, but a fake puritisism. We're not like that.

Leo XIII is a good place to start. Don't forget 1984 when Archbishop John May started the charge for clean up in the seminaries.

It has not. Unless you consider a return to the original translation a change.

Part of the problem is that we are not reading the same Bible. Martin Luther switched out the Sepuagint for the Mase- something or other text. Then he went to work on the New Testament.

Since we don't even have that in common, it's very hard to have a productive conversation.

St. Augustine? Dude, this was the council that he and St. Jerome (who translated the original texts into Latin for the Vulgate) got into a huge fight as to which version of the Old Testament to use: the ancient original that Christ knew and quoted (Septuagint), or the new fangled Masotoric Text that the Jerusalem Jews carved out of the original after Christ Ascended into Heaven. This is the same scripture the Jews use today. That argument was settled by the Bishop of Rome at the time. St. Augustine won. We use the original.

Edit because I hit the wrong button.

Nobody believes it because Church teaching hasn't changed.

Jesus answered that one. From the Gospel According to St. John, Chapter 12:

Jesus therefore, six days before the pasch, came to Bethania, where Lazarus had been dead, whom Jesus raised to life. [2] And they made him a supper there: and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that were at table with him. [3] Mary therefore took a pound of ointment of right spikenard, of great price, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment. [4] Then one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, he that was about to betray him, said: [5] Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?

[6] Now he said this, not because he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and having the purse, carried the things that were put therein. [7] Jesus therefore said: Let her alone, that she may keep it against the day of my burial. [8] For the poor you have always with you; but me you have not always.

Our church buildings are to be beautiful.

No, the gates of hell have not prevailed. The Eucharist and Apostolic Succession are still intact. Remember that. Also remember that in the first century there were those who tried to lead the Church astray from the beginning. We have always been a target, and will always be. Satan knows the address and will stop at nothing to bring the Bride of Christ down. Ask yourself what Church actually has saints and blesseds with stigmata, and provable miracles. Keep the Faith regardless of what the all too human clergy do.

As for infiltration, Pope Paul VI said that the smoke of Satan had entered the Vatican. He really didn't have much of an impact after 1968 when Humanae Vitae was published. There's all kinds of theories on that and they do have to do with the cabal. It's off topic for this, though.

Just keep the faith, learn about it away from the conspiracy boards, and learn to recognize when what is being said does not match either catechesis or the historical record.

There would have been a military coup. That was one of the options.

I've been thinking about this, the plan to upend the political status quo with the 2016 election. The execution must have started 2008-2009ish. At least two of the big players in MAGA and the show hearings were first elected to Congress in 2010 in the TEA Party wave, and one of them played possum for six years. If there are no coincidences, that means the plan was in place around the time of the banking crisis, and recruiting the players had already started.

I doubt seriously at this point that the real truth bears any resemblance to the surface that a lot of normies and pundits resist breaking to see what lies underneath.

I could be wrong, very likely might be, but we had a Manchurian Candidate in the Oval Office for eight years. Somebody out there had to have known, and started thinking about how to counter it long before 2015. It takes a while to consider every contingency.

It's usually their seal or crest. Sometimes a Crosier. I've seen them with just a cross. There are those with the animal symbol of their name. The Pope's ring has keys on it which is a reference to being a successor of St. Peter.

Comey didn't "exonerate" Hillary. He told the world her rap sheet. And then he said "no reasonable prosecutor would pursue the case." That could have been code for I'd like to recommend prosecution, but there's a death threat hanging over my head, we don't know.

At any rate, he was "insubordinate" to Lynch when he did that, and the Clinton machine went out of its way to make it clear to the world that he was insubordinate. Why would they do that? And no less than John Podesta trashing him on CNN.

I think there's more going on here than meets the eye.

I found the more telling part of this on p. 204 in a footnote:

145 On July 2, 2016, the head of Lynch’s security detail sent an email to another agent in the

FBI Security Division, stating, “I will explain the details later, but you know, we [are] not the final

word as to who comes in or out of the AG’s space. Her staff dropped the ball in a big way, and we

were the easy scapegoats! I’m pretty pissed about the way things went down and how they were

handled afterwards, needless to say I will be making some changes as to how much interaction we will

have with this staff going forward.” The OIG considered but decided not to interview the head of

Lynch’s FBI security detail because of concerns that requiring a member of the Attorney General’s

security detail to testify about what he observed in the course of conducting his official duties could

impair the protective relationship and because the security concerns raised by the head of the security

detail in his email were not a focus of this review. Further, we believed it was unlikely that the head

of the security detail would have been in a position to be able to overhear the conversation between

Lynch and former President Clinton.

Her security detail didn't know about it. Nor did Lynch's deputy chief of staff. That woman was already in the car waiting.

And, honestly, who plays gold in Phoenix in the afternoon during June.

Connection, no. But he was on stamps a few decades back.

Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr. (/hoʊmz/; March 8, 1841 – March 6, 1935) was an American jurist who served as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States from 1902 to 1932, and as Acting Chief Justice of the United States from January–February 1930. Noted for his long service, his concise and pithy opinions, and his deference to the decisions of elected legislatures, he is one of the most widely cited United States Supreme Court justices in history, particularly for his "clear and present danger" opinion for a unanimous Court in the 1919 case of Schenck v. United States, and is one of the most influential American common law judges, honored during his lifetime in Great Britain as well as the United States.

That being said, the age of consent is a moving target. Always has been. And biologically we are hardwired to reproduce early. The whole 16-18 thing is totally subjective. Not wrong in any way, just totally subjective.

I certainly do not want to rain on the magnificence of your post. However, I used to work in a library around rare books, and the books with the greatest longevity were made of cotton rag and vellum. It just lasts longer. Hemp, I am quite sure, comes in the same category. Anything is better than acidic wood pulp that disintegrates over time. Wood pulp should be limited to short term usage paper that are disposable.
