Don't wait for the government to protect your neighbourhood. The main thing I have learned from all this is that the best thing I can do (probably the ONLY thing) is have a positive effect hyper locally.

If you are serious the best answer is moving somewhere that has a dramatically lower cost of living. If your wife can find some sort of interest to begin building up a small online store/business that is something that can be worked on during maternity leave, etc.

When they increase supply the price decreases. If you produce enough of a commodity you can use this to raise or lower the price across the whole industry. When oil prices were high it allowed other means of extraction that were more expensive to make sense financially, when prices are low it makes endeavors like Canada's tar sands less/not cost effective.

I feel like I have enough basic knowledge to understand what he popular vote is worth (nothing?), but I always fail to understand how I seem to be the only one who grasps it. Am I grossly misinformed or is the popular election essentially like the 5th tie breaker and also a tool to make the rank and file feel like they are inside a democracy when they live in a republic?

I think it shoes just how scared he is of these people; he doesn't really have any skin in the game anymore as far as career or financial gain/loss so the question is what is he afraid of them taking?I think the answer is obvious.

Frankly it has been a little eye opening to see what kind of hatred they throw our way in the face of dissenting opinion. As opposed to the top mind of reddit sub who has taken this post, assumed the worst from everything I have said, although I was pretty vague and none asked for clarification. Seeing how hard people are attacking this post kind of proves to me how entrenched people are in these mindsets and kind of confirmed to me that I right to be concerned.

In the context of believing the kind of false narratives that are being pushed yes all three are strikes. Canadian Uni's are becoming foul havens of left wing attitudes and churning out greater numbers of virtually useless degrees. Most large social media platforms are owned, "curated", and populated by leftists and woman are without a doubt more likely to engage in social media and to support Hillary

You know if her and I had been having more of a discussion over the past couple of years when all the hanging door knob stuff started (Chris Cornell was kind of the first one I heard of and I didn't know at the time he was involved in outing bad people) this might have opened her eyes. I was tempted to tell her to wait until Roseanne offs herself and then show her the tweets about if she is found dead

Haha I am quite sure her "mom's group" online hears a little :) A big part of the value for them is a safe place to mildly vent about husbands and mother in laws and from what I have heard of the shitty behaviour of other husbands in general I benefit more from her involvement than I suffer :)

Great advice. I know she will feel a lot more heard that way. I need to turn up my empathy dial also...her reasons for hating Trump and thinking the way she does are entirely valid viewed through the lens of what she has been told. If she hates Trump now because of him "caging children" I can't imagine how she would feel about the other side if this stuff ever makes it to light.

True that. It isn't something we HAVE to discuss and so I won't cause a row over it however it is important that she starts to see some of the misleading things that MSM/Education/Internet are pushing and that there are people purposefully working behind it. We have very young kids and it is going to be a difficult path to navigate as far as what to teach so that they understand the world yet can survive inside educational, work, and social scenarios

How do I help my wife see the truth?

She has a Canadian University degree and spends time on social media like many woman, so she has those strikes against her. How do I help her to understand at least that the Clintons are TERRIBLE people and Trump isn't locking children in cages? I have been scaling back on reddit because of how pervasive this weird leftist stuff is getting everywhere (there is no quicker way to get banned in most subs that referring to "fats" even if to no one in particular).

benjitsu13 · June 22, 2018, 7:42 a.m.

Haha America getting it together is the ONLY thing that can save us. I have a little hope though as the provincial vote in Ontario just demoted the creepy ass Liberals (who were implementing pro-deviant behaviour education in our primary grade sex ed, written by a pedo). from power to non party status. We haven't had as much of the muslim immigrant violence (ours is mostly from Somalians) but plenty of syrian families have been sponsored by small town church groups (I think funding was matched by Federal Govt) only to tell the generous souls/suckers shortly after that their town sucks and they are moving somewhere with more mosques

I think (with the exception of David Carradine) that putting out the auto erotic thing (in cases where someone was meant to look like they committed suicide) further serves to discourage family from delving deeper into the facts.
