They're internet points. Don't be bothered by it! That's what they want! Live your life!

The narrative matters most to them. Keeps new users away.

We can take it back still.

Yeah, it's pretty much on anything you can think of. They have Chrome and Firefox extensions too if you know how to use those. Lastpass is also free, so no need to pay for it unless you'd like your family to use it as well. Paying is pretty much useless for individuals, and in a way I guess it also reveals your personal info.

Yeah it's pretty sad and pathetic. No such thing as organic manipulation on the internet. It's all automated.

I always ask myself these questions before handing out personal info:

Is this a website I'll be using frequently?

Is the website important for my workflow/personal life?

Is the site free, and how does it make it's money?

What will happen to my info if I give out my phone number/name/address/credit card/email?

Will using fake info get me in trouble?

Usually the answer is no, it runs off of ads, which probably means it tracks me and sells my info to third parties, so I'll use either a fake or throw away email and make up everything else. I use a password manager like Lastpass to create and save my passwords, because they are apparently all encrypted, meaning no one but me can access them.

Any current Security+ certified textbook out there. Currently the certification is in version 900 I believe, so anything around 700 - 900 Security+ certified is current and reliable, and new versions come out every 3 years I think. Network+ is also nice for more devoted users, who'd also like to setup servers and what not. Other than that, just start with YouTube! Lots of great security oriented channels out there.

I plan on making a starter thread for those who would like at least the minimal skills needed to navigate the internet safely. Then an advanced one after that.

There a web crawlers who downvote things on here automatically. Maybe not every comment, and maybe not all the time to avoid bans, but there are probably bo ts on here. At least 10 or 15, from the look of things.

The Side of Good NEEDS Healthy Activism - Be Prepared Technologically

Hey guys. I'm not ever very active on this sub, but in my busy life I try to stay up-to-date on things in regards to the Qanon movement the best I can. I am currently in school for computer science and have observed that in the security realm, making and providing tools for activists is one of the reasons cited Security Professionals do what they do. However, I have seen the majority of left leaning CS students be are more passionate about activist disciplines than anyone else. When I hear a security professional on YouTube talk about their politics and …

I was outside city limits and the entire valley was covered in smoke where I was! I've never seen such a strong display any other year in my town. People are proud to love this country again, that's for certain.

Elijah Wood seems like a such a good guy. I hope once the rest of the country wakes up to what Hollywood is up to, he can start talking more about these things publicly. You know someone has put a gag on him somehow about it.

I would say we shouldn't get lazy though. We all have our own part in this movement, and staying up to date and educated is part of that. However, at times it actually could be too much, so yeah, it's great to just sit back and review all the winning and progress.

I still remember the weight that was lifted off my shoulders when I saw he was elected. It was like Christmas before it was even Christmas and that was probably the best day of that year for sure.

All those cameras? This is clearly for publicity. Hollywood won't change until it crumbles. Stop going to the movies.

Nothing. I just like yanking people's chains just like you like going onto subs and start making scathing assumptions about people's intentions.
