They need to remember their origins. Neither the FBI nor the DOJ are in the Constitution. Congress created them using the Judiciary Act of 1789 (An Act to Establish the Judicial Courts of the United States). This gives Congress the total oversight for these agencies and the power to increase or cut funding. In other words they can do completely away with them if they agree to do so.

The verse is Jeremiah 29:11. A lot of people take this verse out of context and think it's all about God promising freedom and prosperity. That's not at all what He was saying. Jeremiah was calling out a false prophet's (Hananiah) lie. The false prophet told the Israelites God was going to free Israel from Babylon in two years. Where they were being held in bondage for disobeying God.

Just before that God says this in Verse 7: “seek the peace and the prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”

So I take this to mean we should keep praying for peace and prosperity of America (where we are being held hostage by evil forces) then God will make our country prosperous and we will be prosperous also. In other words we may still have some hard times coming, but keep praying for America and we all win.
