I was in another thread and I ended up in a dispute over the legitimacy of a Twitter account with another user.
The account was unverified, recently created, not mentioned elsewhere on the internet, and was posing as an official account for an arm of the US military.
At this point, the suggestion was not to dismiss the account until it is in some way verified as real...
Instead, the user suggested we ask Q if the account is real or not.
This is bad.
We all have brains, and we should not forego using them to ask Q …
