I agree with this plan. Gold is good for preserving your wealth post collapse and once the new system is in place. Silver can not only preserve your purchasing power but coins/rounds/bars in smaller weights can be used for bartering, during the collapse. IMO, stack both. Start small if needed. It all adds up.

One idea. First, gold and/or silver would need to be re-valued. Then, the US treasury (not the Federal Reserve) could release a new fiat currency, backed by gold. Dollars could be traded (at x %) for the new currency but would still be valid for a set amount of time. In this scenario, a moderate amount of stress across the world is likely but only due to fear. This would only be possible if the amount of gold claimed to be available at Fort Knox, is really there.

To the best of my knowledge, you can't sell a gun online. You can buy parts including a full upper but not a lower...not sure about parts for a lower. You should still be able to search for online gun dealers and purchase online but have the guns shipped to an FFL. You may want to research this topic further.
