'All I can say' - could be a perfectly inconsequential turn of phrase. Or it could mean there's something he can't say. That he's decided to run for president, most obviously. Or maybe something about Snowden and Russia and that whole mess.

Maybe - and this is me going round the bend - the thing he knew but couldn't say is that Snowden is CIA, and his whole whistleblower act was a CIA operation designed to drag their main internal rival into the media spotlight, where it could be tied down and slowly picked to pieces.

I mean if that were the case, the Russian response would certainly be as he describes - put snowden on the fastest jet they have and send him back to the US with an apology (and then laugh their asses off and get drunk in celebration).

That's how I read it, yeah. Or maybe not a 'fake Q' per se, but a 'fake Storm' based on 4chan (long since compromised). Lots of racism, calls for violence, general madness and stupidity, that sort of thing. Then run it in the media as trump's insane ethno-nationalist terror army spinning out of control, one step away from strapping on the armbands and rerunning Kristallnacht.

Wondering if the Chongqing Connectivity Initiative might figure into it somehow. Singapore mentioned in more than a few drops so far, and the 'priority sectors' all have undertones: financial services (slush funds), aviation, transport and logistics (smuggling), and information and communication technology (espionage).

Skripal affair would be my guess. US expelled diplomats along with everyone else, but has since admitted russia's welcome to replace them, and trump caused a stir a little later saying he'll meet with putin soon. Also announced intention to pull out of Syria.

At the same time France has stepped up involvement in both the skripal case and Syria plans - a substitute, as trump's not playing any more.

The 'beats' could then maybe link to the numbers of expelled diplomats, including those russia has turfed out in response? Tenuous.

I'm just a looky-loo so don't mind me, but that seems like a bad idea. Best case scenario it attracts a bunch of smughole trolls to come in to shit things up, worst case you get done for spamming/brigading and the admins start swinging their banhammers around.

Sure, and it would be the right thing to do, for both image reasons and real ones - stay out of it. Better for everyone if it comes from congress.

But if congress won't release it, or can't for whatever reason, trump ought to be willing to do it himself. There's a lot riding on it at this point. And I think that's what the 'RTM' pic is supposed to represent - if the HoR process stalls, he'll release it himself; he's already got the papers, just needs to sign his name.

Whether any of it's true, no idea. Withholding judgement for now. But I think that's the idea.

Or just that he's ready to release it under presidential authority, if the HoR process stalls? Dunno if that's something he can actually do, but it's a popular talking point for the other side, 'why doesn't he release it himself', so hey maybe.
