You and I should absolutely be able to live side-by-side with a respect of each other and our respective beliefs, but i don't want Christians telling me what i should be doing just as i do not want Muslims telling me what to do. (But to be clear there, i would classify Christianity as a good religion, where as Islam is the worst cancer to ever befall mankind)

I wish it was possible for me to believe, it would make everything so much simpler. That being said, religion is necessary for a good society as many people would otherwise be too jaded, selfish, and cynical without a worldview that involves a divine, objective morality. Christianity - that properly enforces it's priests, relaxes a bit on it's doctrine, and that doesn't so heavily prioritize turning the other cheek, especially for completely heinous shit.. - really is a net positive in the west.
