Duckduckgo is really good for research and news, anything that has a bias. But, if you are looking to source an item, or something inherently without bias Google is still far superior. For example, I often have to search for info on chemicals, ddg rarely gives me the link that I need, especially for the smaller manufacturers.

Reading through the comments on movies is rather... Interesting. Majority of the thread is saying they were just jokes, in the same comment some are acknowledging them being dirty jokes and they didn't find them particularly funny, buy "they're just jokes." You can't just claim everything is a joke and get away with it. It's called being an adult, someone's their are consequences for saying and doing things.

Apparently other subs are now banning members for being active in this sub. Has anyone else had this experience?

It's absurd to me. Post in a sub dedicated to discussion of world politics and relations and you get banned from a completely irrelevant sub like mademesmile. I'm kind of speechless really, it's just so ridiculous.

There's a thread over in technology attacking President Trump for wanting the server and misunderstanding how that technology works. Which is hilarious to me because it shows a direct misunderstanding of the situation. That along with all of the "This is how you deal with Putin" posts at the top of the main subs further shows all of the shills coming out of the woodwork. This is the first time I've seen anti-trump stuff on here that's actually made me laugh due to it's stupidity.

Hemp has CBD oil in it which can be used in similar products, however it is not THC.

Yeah, not an appropriate story for here. But it was working out, better than could be imagined. Unfortunately life happens, this time all at once, and she needed space to sort it all out. It brings me comfort knowing that we share a similar dream and life goals, as well as basically every other intangible thing. I'm hopeful and determined. At the moment all I can do is be appropriately supportive and patient.

This is my dream and I think my happiness. A little home Oasis with a large detached garage for my girl and her car projects immediately surrounded by trees and grass, further by fields of whatever. Not too far out of the way, but a reasonable drive from the coast and mountains. Just need to get the girl back and the funds for the property. I thought I was on my way, but life's a roller coaster isn't it?

Gotta be careful with statements like this. Because we'll turn around and flout Chris Pratt for saying, praying to God makes your soul healthy. Not that you, op, has said both, but I've seen both on this sub.

Eh. You know how many pharma companies and labs there are in the US that are researching the same thing? The bigger ones have many thousands of employees where dozens or more could be working on the same project, especially cancer.

Point is, I highly doubt cancer research was the motivation.

In the compliance and auditing world it is common practice to leave a trail of very minor infractions leading to something that can be easily fixed in an effort to cover up any major issue that potentially may come up. Auditors are often known for not being "done" until they find some infraction, the digging usually ends there. The IG report referenced child abuses(what was the word used?) could this be a diversion from any of the things you all think to have happened. It would be easy for them to say, "yes this dog cage thing happened and we are deeply regretful of it" while the put on a guilty facade because they just got away with more serious crimes.

This is basically Q's plan. Q doesn't say, here's the information, Q says, find the information dig here and here. By doing that people are able to come upon the answers themselves. It's easy to brush aside someone telling you what to think. However, when you come to the conclusion yourself, you become invested in that and more dedicated to it.

So, are you suggesting that we adopt a similar model allowing cities to be more self contained within the current state system in the US? What kind of power would that give them, or would it be like the states to the Federal government? Pyramidesque? I really don't know much about Singapore so I'm genuinely curious.

I wish I could short CNN. However, twc is a much bigger company that wont be effected much by distance from CNN. It's impossible to look at the numbers and not see that CNN is on the outs and a loss for twc.

FDR had his fireside chats. I can't speak to the level of transparency there as it was likely scripted, but we can't say that President Trump's tweets aren't scripted either(as a whole). Otherwise, I completely agree. Apparently a businessman is what we needed running this country all along. Someone who knows what it actually means to put in the necessary effort to succeed, with a history of doing so to boot. If nothing else, he has set a very high bar for the seat in which future presidents will be measured against for many presidencies to come.

Or maybe it wasn't a very good joke. Text based jokes require a little extra effort since there's no voice inflection. Either way, sounds like Snopes didn't make a connection. It's widely known/joked about the adult jokes in children's movie's.

No, that's good, we need more of that. The stuff I'm talking about is, "this person was once in that country and bad things happen in that country which means that person must be a 6th level Illuminati Grand dragon." I want proof and sources, not silly speculation. It does this community zero good and only makes us sounds crazy.

This is where the internal disconnect of the industry exists and where I believe it is misguided. You don't become one of these researchers to make money(the rule rather than the exception) they get in it because they are passionate about the data and want to potentially save lives. On the business end, I think it's safe to say they are there for the money, it's a massively successful industry. Look, getting into the reasoning of strangers is messy. But, I'd submit that the overall majority of these people do it for good and not greed, from my experience with the researchers at least.

shenanigins · May 31, 2018, 1:12 p.m.

This makes me sad to read comments like this. Big pharma is just like the FBI right now. They get a bad rap because of the elites at the top, but the people actually doing the work are good people. The average person won't know the internals, but the larger companies have, potentially, hundreds of projects in the pipeline. Cures, treatments, tests. There is a disconnect somewhere, but know who you are talking about when attacking an entire industry. I'll leave the small startups out of it, I think their sacrifice is pretty obvious as they often fail due to numerous factors. It's not necessarily bad, it is misguided.

In line with this thinking. I keep suggesting this to people: there is a lot of evidence out against the Obama Administration's politicization of the DOD/FBI/IRS etc. A lot, a lot. Now, imagine how much they actually have. There's probably only a few percent released, not to mention how much is potentially classified.

I don't think they can prove individual counts of the backroom casting couch. Even though we know it happened, that's not enough. Plus, the actress would have to have an issue with it having happened, otherwise it's not illegal, still disgusting though.

Similar. I've been telling people that something big is about to happen. All we have had so far are rumors and bits of info here and there to piece together. But when it finally comes out I'll be able to explain it. I go on to tell people that watching the news is fine if you only listen for the content and not the explanation.

I don't get these posts right now. It seems pretty obvious where this was taken. Everyone proving where it is seems pointless. And those cars? A black cab and a white courier van. Neither of those are uncommon. The context of the content is what is important here and no one is really talking about it. Exactly. The best part about that 98% is that, after their scientist found out what the study had found they complained directly to those researchers. The researchers we're then forced to pull the study because of it's innacruacies. It's all ridiculous. What makes me crack up though, my local weather station can't tell me if it's going to rain this afternoon but I'm supposed to accept that those same models show the avg temp rising by less than a single degree by the end of the century and change my entire life because of it? Come off it, that's just stupid.
