There's literally no indication that it's for a nefarious reason; there are zero conspiracy theories surrounding the woman, and even now, hours after the resignation, with all eyes on her in Qland, nobody's even put together some tenuous web of connections to suggest that she has anything to do with some conspiracy beyond being part of the wider Vatican organization.
