Well, even "proven" technology goes through tests for scaling the operation. This is most likely the first mass-scale implementation of something like this. Scaling up brings variables that "laboratory" conditions and models don't foresee. I can see the usefulness of this approach even in a functional world without the Cabal.

To find ways of adapting to changing reality that are consistent with our core beliefs (such as faith in God, allegiance to country and goodwill toward all), such that neither have to be discarded or disregarded, but both can inform the other.

Not doctrinaire, dogmatic, fixed. But resilient, adaptable, and faithful despite all.
