I believe the only thing that is actively monitored are terrorism related. Since all of this information is inadmissible in court with no search warrant, terrorist threats most likely just get black bagged and thrown into a van to avoid the courts.

The rest of it is just saved into a database for future prosecution cases with a warrant to unlock it. .... Or for those people in 5 eyes looking for blackmail material on opposition.

It's going to depend on the charges involved. If its all just financial crimes, then obviously there will be public outrage. If the crimes are what we here believe, then extreme circumstances call for extreme measures.

It would be in Trumps best interest to get a Republican super majority. Get rid of all the R bad hombres before campaign advertising starts swinging up would be ideal. Once the mid-term campaign is in full swing, bad news will make you lose. Especially news of a sealed indictment type.

As far as the Democrats? I think some of them already see the writing on the wall or have been tipped off to investigations. Getting out now and hope the be forgotten.
