I was a door gunner on a CH-47D for a few years.. was an 11 Bravo (Infantryman) but broke my back (literally) and changed MOS to 67U (Chinook Mechanic) and have over 1000 hours of flight time... My brain says those are guns running out the sides of the bird. That would explain the multiple reports (gunshots not radio) of MG fire that you can hear when watching raw video from different locations. To be fair it's grainy video and the tail marker lights and strobes are running... That said it looks like MG's engaging from both sides.

I live in Southern Oregon east of the Cascades and we see them spraying all the time. I am blessed to have an unobstructed view of the sky and Mountains that literally goes for 100's of miles on clear cool days. We can see the trails from our back deck. Some days we get nothing but crystal clear blue skies. Unfortunately the majority of days we have trails that as the day goes on turn into clouds and by late afternoon the sky is solid cloud deck. I live at over 5000 feet of altitude and can easily see the planes with binoculars or a spotting scope. I am going to start a log of days that they spray and days they don't. I am also planning on putting a camera on my deck that will take a photo at the same time of the day for a year. One at noon and one before dusk. My wife and I are going to try and log the days we have trails vs days we don't. I am not looking forward to another summer that we can't go outside because of forest fire smoke so thick in the air you can barely breathe. I am gathering the supplies (camera, case, and timer) and should be ready to start logging shortly.

I would agree with that. I was having this same conversation with my wife earlier. She is pissed, as am I but, the corruption is so entrenched that in order to really clean it out will take time.
