The Equality Act Erases Women

 

The "Equality Act" overrules the truth about being created male and female and must be stopped.

 

The so-called "Equality Act" amends the Civil Rights Act of 1964 by changing the definition of “sex” to include sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI). This elevates SOGI to the highest threshold of protected classes—along with race, color, religion and national origin. The "Equality Act" imposes gender ideology in health care and education, endangers the privacy and safety of women and girls, repeals religious freedom protections, and threatens charitable nonprofits and the people they serve.

 

This is not the battle of the sexes, this is about redefining the term “sex” as the biological reality of being male or female, to an unscientific, self-declared perception or feeling of "gender identity".

 

Gender identity is the gender that you feel is right for you. We have moved beyond science and reason; gender identity has no physical requirements, no XX or XY chromosome distinction, it is all based on a feeling that can change. The bill doesn’t mention individuals with clinically diagnosed gender dysphoria or undertaking surgical or hormonal transition, thus making clear that self-declared gender identity would be sufficient to claim protected legal status.

 

We know that the real effect of this legislation is not acceptance, tolerance, equality, or allowing people to “be who they are,” the "Equality Act" erases women.

 

The "Equality Act" would force public facilities to allow men and boys who identify as women or girls to use the same bathrooms, locker rooms, showers, domestic violence shelters, and prisons as females. It would force employers to hire or assign men who identify as women to jobs requiring sensitivity to the physical privacy rights of women and girls such as intimate medical examinations, supervision of domestic violence shelters or prisons, airport security pat-downs, strip searches, or supervision of overnight school field trips.

 

The "Equality Act" would deny female athletes a fair playing field in sports competitions. Title IX, which bans discrimination for women and girls on the basis of sex, would be negated, forcing female athletes to compete against biological males. Any male self-identifying as a woman could claim women’s athletic scholarships and positions on sports teams. In fact, any current law or policy gains traditionally and specifically aimed at benefiting women could legally be used by men identifying as women.

 

By elevating “gender identity” over the protected class of “sex,” the "Equality Act" threatens gains women have made in law, programs, and policy reforms over the past decades. Giving a man who claims to be a woman access to places and opportunities specifically designed for women means it’s no longer equal opportunity for her. For over 50 years, the original intent of civil rights law in regard to “sex” and “sex discrimination” has referred to prohibiting legally imposed and culturally prevalent overt discrimination against biological women and girls and to promoting their equality. This discrimination has been statistically and scientifically documented for decades. Discrimination based on “gender identity” has not.

 

We don’t need the "Equality Act". Nothing prevents any person, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, from receiving equal protection of the laws under the 14th Amendment of the Constitution and the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Rather, this act will be used, as other gender identity policies have, to impede upon the rights, privacy, and safety of women and girls.

WHO KILLED JAMES V FORRESTAL? PT1

 

The two highest-ranking government officials in the history of the American republic to have “committed suicide” are Deputy White House Counsel, Vincent W. Foster, Jr., on July 20, 1993, and Secretary of Defense, James V. Forrestal, on May 22, 1949. Actually, Forrestal was not a government official at the time of his death. He had been rather abruptly removed from office on March 28, and after almost immediately suffering some kind of breakdown, he had been kept against his will since April 2, a period of more than 7 weeks, on the 16th floor of the Bethesda Naval Hospital. Since he was no longer a government employee, it is unclear upon what authority he was being “cared for” at this U. S. military facility.

 

Though technically no longer a government official at the time of his death, Forrestal was a far more prominent and powerful man than Foster. Independently wealthy since his days as president of Dillon, Read, and Company on Wall Street, as Secretary of the Navy he had graced the cover of Time magazine on October 29, 1945. In September of 1947, even though he had opposed the legislation that created the department, Forrestal was made America’s first Secretary of Defense. Widely acclaimed as an extraordinarily dedicated and effective administrator, he rivaled Secretary of State, George C. Marshall, as the best known member of President Harry Truman’s cabinet.

 

Both Foster and Forrestal are said to have been suicidally depressed. Indeed, this is usually the first thing that will be mentioned when the matter of the death of either of these two men is brought up. The evidence that either of them was in such a disturbed mental state that he would resort to such an extreme solution is actually quite weak. In Foster’s case, it rests heavily upon the very doubtful authenticity of a disjointed, sophomoric note belatedly “found” in a briefcase that had previously been emptied out in full view of a number of people. In Forrestal’s case, the public was told in the very first press announcement of his death that he had stopped in the middle of copying over a classical poem, one that seems to welcome, in certain circumstances, the ending of one’s life. We have never been told how anyone knows that Forrestal actually wrote what he is said to have written, although author Arnold Rogow (James Forrestal, A Study of Personality, Politics, and Policy, 1963), the man most responsible for fixing in the public mind the notion that Forrestal was mentally unbalanced, has written, without the first bit of evidence for it, that Forrestal was seen writing it. Authors Townsend Hoopes and Douglas Brinkley (Driven Patriot, the Life and Times of James Forrestal, 1992) have also stated that Forrestal was seen writing it, but by a different person from the one cited by Rogow, although they give Rogow as their source. Curiously, nowhere on the public record are the actual would-be witness or witnesses themselves quoted directly on this matter.

Defenders of the official line on Foster’s death almost never refer to the known evidence. Rather, they allude to the “depression” as though it were a proven fact; they invoke authority, either the authority of the family, most of whom have publicly, at least, accepted the official conclusion, or of the authority of the various official “investigations” that have been made of his death; and they raise questions about the motive. If Foster was murdered, who did it and why?

 

When family members of victims don’t agree with the official line, whether it be this case or the Oklahoma City bombing, TWA 800, Pan Am 103, the Martin Luther King, Jr. murder, or 9-11, we seldom hear much about it in our press. The Forrestal death is an outstanding example of that rule.

 

The press also typically gives great attention to the findings of any official body that has been appointed to make an investigation. The heavily-touted Warren Commission is the best-known instance of this phenomenon. In the Foster death it was first a report by Robert Fiske and then one by Kenneth Starr.

It is perhaps a measure of how much more innocent a time it was in America in 1949 that, although such arguments against murder in the Forrestal case are far weaker than in the Foster case, the official suicide line seems to have gone generally unchallenged. Take, for instance, the reaction of the Forrestal family. Perhaps the person closest to James Forrestal in the whole world was his brother, Henry. This is from the obscure book, The Death of James Forrestal (1966), by Cornell Simpson, one of the few people who did question the suicide conclusion:

 

At his home in Beacon, New York, Henry Forrestal stated to this author that James Forrestal positively did not kill himself. He said his brother was the last person in the world who would have committed suicide and that he had no reason for taking his life. When Forrestal talked to his brother at the hospital, James was having a good time planning the things he would do following his discharge. Henry Forrestal recalled that Truman and [new Defense Secretary Louis] Johnson agreed that his brother was in fine shape and that the hospital officials admitted that he would have been released soon. To Henry Forrestal, the whole affair smelled to high heaven. He remarked about his brother's treatment at the hospital, his virtual imprisonment and the censorship of his visitors. Henry Forrestal had never heard of such treatment and questioned why it should have been allowed. He further questioned why the hospital officials lied about his brother being permitted all the visitors he wanted.

 

He was bitter when recounting that from the first minute the officials had insisted the death was a result of suicide; that they did not even consider the possibility of murder even though there was no suicide note, though his brother acted perfectly normal when the corpsman saw him only a few minutes before his death, though the bathrobe cord was knotted tightly around his neck.

 

He considered it odd that his brother had died just a few hours before he, Henry, was to arrive and take James out of the hospital. Then he repeated his belief that James Forrestal did not kill himself; that he was murdered; that someone strangled him and threw him out the window. Henry Forrestal went on to ask why the authorities did not have the decency to admit these things and then try to apprehend the murderer. He lamented the fact that the case was hurriedly hushed up in an apparent attempt to avoid a scandal.

 

He went on to say that he was a Democrat but nevertheless he blamed the Truman administration for covering up his brother's murder, for letting it happen, and for the way James Forrestal was treated in the hospital. He concluded that he was "damned bitter" about it all but did not know what he could do.

So what do we have with the Forrestal death? It’s the Willcutts Review Board, named for Rear Admiral Morton D. Willcutts, the head of the National Naval Medical Center. The Review Board took the testimony of all witnesses and finished its work on May 30. It was not until October 11, however, that its conclusions were released to the public, and here’s what was discovered, as related on page 15 of The New York Times of October 12, 1949:

 

  1. That the body found on the ledge outside of Building 1 of the National Medical Center at 1:50 A.M. and pronounced dead

at 1:55 A.M. Sunday, May 22, 1949, was identified as that of the late James V. Forrestal, a patient in the neuropsychiatric

  1. That the late James V. Forrestal died about 1:50 A.M. on Sunday, May 22, 1949, at the National Naval Medical Center,

Bethesda, Maryland, as a result of injuries, multiple extreme, received incident to a fall from a high point in the tower,

There was no police investigation, so this is the official last word on Forrestal’s death. The findings upon which these conclusions are based were kept secret, and they remain secret to this day. If anyone did, indeed, witness Forrestal transcribing words from a poem onto a notepad shortly before he took his fatal plunge, it would be in the Review Board testimony. The authors Hoopes and Brinkley, in their extensive Forrestal biography, concealed from the readers the fact that this report has never been made public. Rogow mentioned the fact in passing in a footnote and made nothing of it, as though such things were routine and acceptable in this government of the people, by the people, and for the people. When someone dies violently and suspiciously, the usual question investigators want to answer is if anyone had a murder motive. Did the deceased have enemies? Had he been threatened by anyone? Was there anyone who stood to gain from his death? If so, did the party or parties in question have anything in their past to indicate that they might be capable of murder, and did they have the opportunity to commit the crime?

 

In Forrestal’s case, the answers are yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes. For over a year he had been subject to a vilification campaign in the press the likes of which hardly any public official has ever had to endure in America. Leading the campaign, from the left and the right, respectively, were America’s two best-known and most powerful syndicated columnists, Drew Pearson and Walter Winchell. They painted Forrestal as a corrupt tool of Wall Street and the oil companies who put the interests of his cronies ahead of concern for the well being of refugees from European persecution. His big offense was that he was outspoken in his opposition to the creation of the state of Israel. The entire foreign policy establishment, led by Secretary of State Marshall, felt the same way, but the strong-willed Forrestal was the lightning rod for the supporters of Israel. He had received threatening telephone calls and he complained of being followed and electronically bugged. LANSING - Authorities have confirmed that former Olympics gymnastics coach John Geddert has killed himself.

 

“My office has been notified that the body of John Geddert was found late this afternoon after taking his own life," Attorney General Dana Nessel said in a written statement. "This is a tragic end to a tragic story for everyone involved.”

 

Michigan State Police tweeted that troopers found Geddert's body about 3:24 p.m. at a rest area on eastbound Interstate 96 in Clinton County.

 

The investigation is ongoing, and no other details were being released, they said.

 

Officials charged Geddert this morning with 24 counts including human trafficking, sexual assault, racketeering and lying to police.

Former USA Gymnastics Coach Kills Himself After Being Charged with Human Trafficking, Sexual Assault

 

Former USA Gymnastics coach John Geddert committed suicide after he was charged on Thursday with 24 counts of criminal misconduct, including human trafficking and sexual assault, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced.

 

State officials confirmed the news to WLNS CBS that the coach died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was 63 years old.

 

Geddert coached the 2012 U.S. women’s gold-winning Olympic team and worked closely with Larry Nassar, the disgraced physician convicted of multiple counts of criminal sexual conduct and child pornography that owned and operated Twistars USA Gymnastics gym near Lansing, Michigan, where Nassar also treated several gymnasts.

 

Geddert was charged with 14 counts of human trafficking and forced labor causing injury; six counts of human trafficking of a minor for forced labor; one count of continuing criminal enterprise; one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct; and one count of lying to a police officer during a violent crime investigation.

 

According to a news release, “Geddert sold his reputation as an Olympic-level coach and promised to unsuspecting parents that he could turn his students into world-class athletes, allowing them to secure college scholarships, the attorney general’s office alleges.

 

“Under the guise of coaching, he reportedly subjected multiple young women to an environment of continued abuse, in which he also neglected the advice of medical doctors – except that provided by Larry Nassar, who served for around 20 years as Geddert’s team physician and in-house medical expert at Twistars,” the statement added.

 

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel said at a news conference that Geddert “used force, fraud and coercion against the young athletes that came to him for gymnastics training for financial benefit” to him.

The Chinese government forcibly anally swabbed U.S. diplomatic officials as part of the Chinese Communist Party’s new Covid testing protocols “in error,” prompting Joe Biden’s U.S. State Department to beg China to stop violating the “dignity” of Biden officials.

 

VICE and the Washington Post were among the first outlets to report the story, in which China originally promised to stop anally swabbing State Department officials after complaints from the Biden administration, but has now reversed course and denied forcibly applying the test in the first place.

 

“The State Department never agreed to this kind of testing and protested directly to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs when we learned that some staff were subject to it,” a spokesperson from Biden’s State Department reported to VICE on Wednesday.

 

“We have instructed staff to decline this test if it is asked of them, as was done in the past,” the Chinese government responded, with Chinese Foreign Ministry official Zhao Lijian later claiming that “China has never requested US diplomatic personnel in China to undergo anal swabs.”

 

As National File reported earlier this year, China is increasingly reliant on anal swabs as part of its Covid test toolkit, and has anally swabbed entire schools full of middle-school-age children and staff:

 

Beijing disease specialist at You’an Hospital’s Li Tongzeng stated, “What we’ve found is that in some infected patients, the coronavirus survives for a longer period of time in their digestive tract or excrement than in their respiratory tract.” This digestive longevity leads Li and other experts to believe that anal swabs may be more effective.

 

Li added that while some people may be completely asymptomatic and show no trace of the virus in their respiratory system, residual traces of the virus could be unearthed in the anus.

 

According to the Global Times, a situation in which an entire school full of primary school students and staff were anally swabbed following a 9-year-old boy’s contraction of the virus has prompted multiple experts to “wonder if anal swabs could be more accurate in detecting the virus than other measures.”

 

According to Chinese health guidelines, anal swabs are inserted up to five inches deep in the rectum, and then rotated for maximum effect before removal.

Biden CIA Nominee Lies About Relationship With Chinese Communist Party Propaganda Front

 

President Biden’s nominee for director of the Central Intelligence Agency, who formerly served as the president of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, falsely claimed he cut ties with a Chinese Communist Party “not long after” he joined the think tank.

 

The nominee, William Burns, told Senator Marco Rubio that he “inherited” the think tank’s relationship with the China-United States Exchange Foundation (CUSEF) but cut ties with the group “not long after” he began during his confirmation hearing.

 

Burns, who joined the think tank in 2014, however, continued the think tank’s involvement with CUSEF.

 

CUSEF – part of the Chinese Communist Party’s United Front effort that seeks to “co-opt and neutralize sources of potential opposition” and encourage foreign actors to “adopt positions supportive of Beijing’s preferred policies” – has had a close relationship with the Carnegie Endowment since 2009, including sponsoring trips for Chinese Communist Party officials to speak at the think tank.

 

The Daily Caller notes, however, that “CUSEF’s last donation to Carnegie was in 2017, according to a spokesperson for Carnegie and its 2018 annual report.”

 

And Tung Chee-hwa, the founding chairman of CUSEF, also visited the Carnegie-Tsinghua Center in March 2017 – both events occurring three years after Burns joined the think tank.

 

A host of Carnegie Endowment leaders – including Vice President Douglas Paal – have also contributed to CUSEF’s quarterly journal, China-US Focus throughout Burns’s tenure.

Pop singer Demi Lovato claimed that gender reveal parties are "transphobic" in a lengthy Instagram post on Wednesday. The post was not Lovato's original thought, but rather a copy and paste from Alok Vaid-Menon, a self-described "internationally acclaimed gender non-conforming writer, performer, and public speaker."

 

"Gender reveals uphold the gender binary and the binary prevents people from observing reality," the post about parties for unborn babies read. "Only individuals can determine their own gender."

 

"It's both insincere and incorrect to pretend that gender reveal parties are not transphobic," the nine-slide Instagram post stated. "You can't have your proverbial pink-blue binary cake and eat it, too. This is not about political correctness; it's just … correct. We condemn gender reveals not because of our identity, but because of reality."

 

"Gender reveals require not just the invalidation of transness, but the impossibility of transness," the post from the 28-year-old singer claimed. "The assumption is that the baby is cis. Cisness is positioned as the default and everyone else is understood as derivative of it."

 

"The idea goes: while we might 'identify' as trans now, we were 'originally' 'born' cis and we later 'became' trans," the screed continued. "When in truth, everyone is just born. And we all become after the fact."

 

Lovato's post said that basing someone's gender off their genitalia is "inconsistent with science."

 

The post argued that there were more genders than just male and female, "Gender reveals are based on the illusion that genitals=gender and that there are only two options 'boy' or 'girl. This definition erases the fact that there are boys with vaginas and girls with penises and that there are people who are neither boys nor girls."

 

The Instagram post asserted that people believing there only being two genders "naturalizes cultural myths as 'biological facts.'"

 

The caption on the post said that there is a misunderstanding of what transphobia is, "Transphobia is not just prejudice or violence against an individual trans person, it is a belief system that presumes non-trans people to be more 'natural' than trans people. Only individual people can self determine their gender."

 

Earlier this week, Lovato talked about her own sexuality during an InStyle interview.

 

"I'm very fluid," she said. "I think love is love. You can find it in any gender. I like the freedom of being able to flirt with whoever I want."

 

In September, Lovato expressed shame in her whiteness because of racial injustice and the high-profile deaths of black people.

 

"At first, I was self-conscious about speaking out about these issues because I didn't want anyone to feel like it wasn't genuine," Lovato wrote. "I also felt like I wanted to call every person of color that I knew and apologize, which I know isn't the right thing to do either. Like a lot of people, I didn't know what to do."

Moderna expects $18.4b in COVID-19 vaccine revenue this year

Moderna said Thursday that it expects to generate $18.4 billion in sales this year from its COVID-19 vaccine, making the 11-year-old Cambridge biotech’s first product to reach the market a massive blockbuster.

 

The number, shared by executives during a fourth-quarter earnings call Thursday, reflects advance purchase agreements that Moderna signed with multiple countries for vaccine deliveries in 2021. And more orders are in the works.

 

The company, which was bankrolled by the Cambridge venture capital firm Flagship Pioneering, also got a considerable amount of financial help from US taxpayers.

 

Moderna is one of several drug makers that received billions of dollars from the federal government through Operation Warp Speed to develop and manufacture a coronavirus vaccine before anyone knew for sure that any of them would work. In December, the Department of Health and Human Services said the company had received $4.1 billion in such funding.

 

Moderna plans to produce at least 700 million doses of its vaccine in 2021, up from a previous low-end estimate of 600 million, with a new goal of making 1.4 billion doses in 2022.

Pfizer, which makes the only other coronavirus vaccine cleared for emergency use in the United States, recently said it expects sales of about $15 billion in 2021 from the product it developed with its German partner, BioNTech.

 

Unlike Moderna, Pfizer did not accept federal funding to help develop or manufacture the vaccine. But it did sign a $1.95 billion deal with Operation Warp Speed in July to deliver 100 million doses as part of an advance-purchase agreement.

 

Also during the earnings call, Moderna said that its chief medical officer, Tal Zaks, who played a key role in developing the vaccine, which relies on messenger RNA, will leave the company in late September. Moderna has hired a recruiter to find a successor with “global and commercial experience” as it ramps up vaccine production and tries to get other products to market over the next few years, it said.

 

“Tal joined us when we were a pre-clinical company,” chief executive Stephane Bancel said in a statement. “His guidance and contributions were important in helping Moderna get to where we are today.”

 

Zaks, the former head of global oncology at the French pharmaceutical giant Sanofi, joined Moderna in 2015 and has helped oversee its rapidly expanding pipeline of experimental drugs that rely on messenger RNA.

 

Since the novel coronavirus surfaced in China 13 months ago, he has played a central role as Moderna designed, tested, and won authorization for a two-shot coronavirus vaccine that proved about 95 percent effective at preventing COVID-19. The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine also relies on mRNA and demonstrated roughly the same remarkable efficacy in a large clinical trial.

 

Like several other top executives at Moderna, Zaks profited handsomely from the COVID-19 vaccine.

 

As the world awaited results from a late-stage clinical trial, Zaks sold his stock like clockwork every Tuesday through prescheduled trades — earning him more than $50 million since the dawn of the pandemic, according to disclosures made to the Securities and Exchange Commission and reported by STAT in October.

 

Moderna has other vaccine and drug candidates in development that rely on messenger RNA, now that the COVID-19 vaccine has validated the approach.

 

A third coronavirus vaccine that uses a different approach, developed by Johnson & Johnson and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, will be considered Friday by an advisory committee to the Food and Drug Administration. If, as expected, the independent experts give their blessing, the vaccine could be cleared for emergency use as early as Saturday and start being distributed within days.

What War Powers Does the President Have?

President George W. Bush characterizes the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon as “acts of war.” What legal and constitutional powers does the president have to declare war or to launch a military action against the terrorists?

 

Declaring War

The United States has not formally declared war since World War II. Under Article I, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution, Congress has sole power “to declare war [and] grant letters of marque and reprisal.” But Article II, Section 2 provides that “The president shall be Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States.” While it’s clear that the Framers intended for Congress alone to declare war, presidents don’t always check with Congress before acting. After President Harry Truman bypassed Congress to go to war in Korea, presidents have paid almost no attention to the constitutional requirements.

 

Declaring Less Than War

In 1973, an irate Congress passed the War Powers Act in response to President Lyndon Johnson and President Richard Nixon’s prosecution of the war in Vietnam without a congressional declaration. Under the War Powers Act, the president has 90 days after introducing troops into hostilities to obtain congressional approval of that action. It looks good on paper, but presidents have generally ignored the War Powers Act, citing Article II, Section 2 as their authority to send soldiers into combat.

 

Today, Congress met to discuss legislation to authorize the use of force under the War Powers Act. While lawmakers are still working out the language, the proposed measure will be a modified use-of-force resolution, modeled on the resolution used in 1991 to authorize action by President George Bush against Iraq prior to the Gulf War. That resolution authorized the president to “use armed forces pursuant to the UN Security Council’s resolutions passed in response to Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait.” The resolution (HR-77) went out of its way not to be a declaration of war. In fact, other than saying this constitutes authorization under the War Powers Act, it never used the word war at all. It did cite a U.N. resolution seeking to “restore international peace and security in that area,” so it was only a declaration of war if you can assume that the opposite of peace is sort of war.

This does not have the force of law but is merely a presidential pronouncement that can be repealed, modified, or suspended at any time by the president himself. As of last night, Congress was openly discussing ending the moratorium on assassinations.

 

International Law

The U.N. charter was ratified by the Senate, and as such the president is bound by its terms. Nevertheless, the attacks on New York and Virginia are clearly war crimes under the U.N. definition. Moreover, Article 51 of the U.N. charter provides for the “inherent right … of self-defense if an armed attack occurs.” NATO also took steps toward approving military action yesterday, by invoking Article 5 of the NATO charter, authorizing the use of force if it’s determined that this was attack from abroad against the United States.

Adverse Event Description

 

Patient received her first dose of the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccination on Saturday January 16th 2021 at approximately 12pm. She completed all necessary screening forms and was deemed to be at low risk for serious allergic reactions. She tolerated the vaccination well, and no complications or immediate adverse events occurred. She was observed for a full 15 mins per CDPHE/CDC guidelines and left the Clinic in stable condition after her observation period was complete.

 

On the morning of Tuesday, January 19th, 2021, the patient was found unconscious and unresponsive by her husband. She was transferred by Ambulance to Hospital shortly thereafter. She was diagnosed with a brain bleed that was determined to be inoperable. She was transferred to other Hospital for higher level care. She was seen by neurosurgery and diagnosed with a ruptured aneurysm. She was treated in the ICU for 24 hours, at which point her team determined that the severity of her brain bleed would not respond to treatment.

 

Supportive cares were withdrawn on Wednesday Jan 20th, and she passed away shortly thereafter.
