Never heard this song before.
Pretty good song IMO.
Music & lyrics good.

This song made me weep.

Mr. Bungle from one of my favorite albums. California

A very skilled professional. Also have a really got Italian album where he goes by the name of Mondo Cane.

Anon reaction: Very strange. Creative. Disturbing.
Yes. It is very odd.
I have strange taste when it comes to music.
Enjoy some more strange music.
This album reminds me of one of my best friends who is now passed away. We used to take LSD and listen to this album Alot.
This is Mars Volta - De-Loused in the Comatorium
Strangely enough the album is about a man overdosing and my fren died of an overdose. Life can be so Ironic.

Different. Also disturbing. Also strange and creative. Hmmm, beginning to notice a pattern here, kek. It's got a message to it though, that's hard to disagree with.
> strange taste
Yes. You do. Kek. (Haven't watched this one yet.)
I never took LSD or any hard drugs. Just not my thing. Of course I know people who have, and I do not judge them. Like most people, I have drank too much wine on a few occasions and gotten sick afterward. It feels good until it doesn't. And then it feels horrible and you puke your guts out.
Sorry your friend overdosed and died.
Have known several of those in the oldest generation who were lifelong alcoholics and seen the emotional destruction they wreaked on those who cared about them. Almost like they were demon-possessed when they drank.
Substances are not inherently bad or good. (Well, maybe some are.) But some hold great danger.
Back in my day that meant Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Band, for example. I recall sitting on the floor in my high school friend's room, and hearing it for the very first time. Wow. It was mind blowing.
I bought the album and played it at home. One day my mother heard "She's Leaving Home" and she started to cry when she heard the words. Because it was prescient. Then it happened. The black sheep autist daughter never fit in with what was conventionally expected.
The catharsis is good.
>One day my mother heard "She's Leaving Home" and she started to cry when she heard the words. Because it was prescient. Then it happened. The black sheep autist daughter never fit in with what was conventionally expected.

This made me happy and sad at the same time.
Exactly.

We anons are all different.
We all have different experiences and strengths and weaknesses and preferences and ideas.
But we are united in purpose.
When we work TOGETHER we are more than the sum of our parts.
Because of the differences and similarities that complement and connect and overlap.
I like you. I like your authenticity. It is so refreshing. Your frenship means a lot to me.
<3
>I like you. I like your authenticity. It is so refreshing. Your frenship means a lot to me.
><3
The feelz are mutual. Trust and frenships built on a solid foundation are more likely to succeed.
I also have nothing to hide or any other motives other than FACTS and TRUTH.
This doesnt mean we all dont have our own secrets.
Well on the plus side, this one negates the prior 2. Is that an industrial kitchen or an autopsy room? The platter theme again!
Frantic, chaotic, kind of tortured. Painful dissonance. I hung in for 5 minutes.
> 5 min mark.
Can listen analytically w/ left brian.
How the voices are layered.
Chord progressions.
Harmonies and opposing voices.
Use of percussion.
Post-production stuff like left chan, right chan.
Female vocalist's interesting use of a break between her upper and lower range.
Temporal structure (large scale patterns).
Feeling so much better today :-)
Even got thru my 20 pushups without breaking into sets.
This song is totally awesome.
I like it even more than the first time.
If it replays in mind, I don't mind.
Let this be our anthem.

Is there a name for this kind of music?
It seems more on the avant-garde side of electronic music.
"A commonly cited example of avant-garde music is John Cage's 4'33" (1952), a piece which instructs the performer(s) not to play their instrument(s) during its entire duration."
A music critic who attended the first performance praised the work. "I hope Mr. Cage will write more and longer works of this type."
Ever see the movie
Koyaanisqatsi: Life out of balance
with score by minimalist composer Philip Glass (chorus, ensemble and orchestra, 1982).
"Koyaanisqatsi, also known as Koyaanisqatsi: Life Out of Balance, is a 1982 American experimental film produced and directed by Godfrey Reggio with music composed by Philip Glass and cinematography by Ron Fricke. The film consists primarily of slow motion and time-lapse footage of cities and many natural landscapes across the United States."

Lyrics:
Seek retribution with the machine
Imbued by the first living titan
Draped in fire
Stay calm, these flames soar higher
Either dead or entombed
Her bloodline fractured by a barren womb
The bloodletting shall resume
Stay calm and watch her consume
The banner lords of the Hyperion world
Kneel before her graceful passing
Guarded by and banshee's sword
Iron scented offerings
Drip from the hands
Endlessly raised
To build a new world
Without war
We must relinquish our fate to be shielded by the machine
Chimera
Embrace the aura
Lest we forget where we came from
Both priests and traitors
Of the old world
Look on in despair as Elephtherian pedals
Tumble down through the air
In silence, these holy hypocrites
Scowl and detest
In time, their fables and flesh
Will be laid to restโฆ
Everything Mechina creates is Gold. I Love them and hate them at the same time.

Every album is a new chapter in their story,.. they have a whole lore behind their music,..and they do something that none of these fuckin plastic pop stars can,โฆ

All of their lyrics consist of conquering the stars.

From above the land
Armored with reflections of the sky
Towers pressing their chests
Against the elements
Unfazed by the chaos of the stars
How I lust to feel again
My eyes, my heart, my mind are at war
Unclear if this world can be called home
I stand in shadows of monuments
To shield my eyes from foreign lights
Unfazed by the chaos of the stars
How I lust to feel again
My eyes, my heart, my mind are at war
Unclear if this world can be called home
My eyes, my heart, my mind are at war
Unclear if this world can be called home
Unfazed by the chaos of the stars

Never heard of RUSH?
Well we will have to fix that.
This is one of my favorites.
Hereโs the lyrics:
I turn my back to the wind
To catch my breath
Before I start off again
Driven on
Without a moment to spend
To pass an evening
With a drink and a friend
I let my skin get too thin
I'd like to pause,
No matter what I pretend
Like some pilgrim
Who learns to transcend
Learns to live
As if each step was the end
Time stand still
I'm not looking back
But I want to look around me now
Time stands still
See more of the people
And the places that surround me now
Time stands still
Freeze this moment
A little bit longer
Make each sensation
A little bit stronger
Experience slips away
Experience slips away
Time stands still
I turn my face to the sun
Close my eyes
Let my defenses down
All those wounds
That I can't get unwound
I let my past go too fast
No time to pause
If I could slow it all down
Like some captain
Whose ship runs aground
I can wait until the tide comes around
Time stand still
I'm not looking back
But I want to look around me now
Time stands still
See more of the people
And the places that surround me now
Freeze this moment
A little bit longer
Make each sensation
A little bit stronger
Make each impression
A little bit stronger
Freeze this motion
A little bit longer
The innocence slips away
The innocence slips away
Time stands still
Time stands still
I'm not looking back
But I want to look around me now
See more of the people
And the places that surround me now
Time stands still
Summer's going fast
Nights growing colder
Children growing up
Old friends growing older
Freeze this moment
A little bit longer
Make each sensation
A little bit stronger
Experience slips away
Experience slips away
The innocence slips away
Good music.
kundalini energy, shakti
some call it the "K"
Chi is another word for it
If you are feeling your crown chakra then that energy is running through you up there.
I guess you would probably refer to is as the holy spirit, the breath of God? I'm beginning to think it's the same thing, the breath of God, hyperdimensional energy of immeasurable quantity, flowing through invisible immeasurable superconductors.

In the Burning Heart
Survivor
Two worlds collide
Rival nations
It's a primitive clash
Venting years of frustrations
Bravely we hope
Against all hope
There is so much at stake
Seems our freedom's up
Against the ropes
Does the crowd understand?
Is it East versus West
Or man against man
Can any nation stand alone
In the burning heart
Just about to burst
There's a quest for answers
An unquenchable thirst
In the darkest night
Rising like a spire
In the burning heart
The unmistakable fire
In the burning heart
In the warrior's code
There's no surrender
Though his body says stop
His spirit cries, never
Deep in our soul
A quiet ember
Knows it's you against you
It's the paradox
That drives us on
It's a battle of wills
In the heat of attack
It's the passion that kills
The victory is yours alone
In the burning heart
Just about to burst
There's a quest for answers
An unquenchable thirst
In the darkest night
Rising like a spire
In the burning heart
The unmistakable fire
In the burning heart
Just about to burst
There's a quest for answers
An unquenchable thirst
In the darkest night
Rising like a spire
In the burning heart
The unmistakable fire
In the burning heart
Just about to burst
There's a quest for answers
An unquenchable thirst
In the darkest night
Rising like a spire
In the burning heart
The unmistakable fire
In the burning heart

Conservative = conserve what is good from the past
โ
Chaos = everything in a state of flux
โ
Forward looking = imagine and create what is good for the future
How do we know what is good?
During a state of chaos, can there even be agreement on criteria?
Digital warriors have received intensive training on tolerating chaos!
Last night, someone again proclaimed us ready.
Digits! ^^
>How do we know what is good?
Each has their own compass. Experience dictates this compass
>During a state of chaos, can there even be agreement on criteria?
The world is always in a state of chaos, Humans tend to find ways to cope and find familiarity in chaos. We use pattern recognition and past experiences to try to make peace in the chaos.
>Digital warriors have received intensive training on tolerating chaos!
Many are ready. But Many others are not you need to be the pillar for the ones who are not.
Only those who KNOW can SHOW.
>Last night, someone again proclaimed us ready.
Anons are. But the [C] are not. Many [C] are starting to see. The light is dim and only with teamwork/[C]ollaboration can we make that light as bright as it needs to be to Illuminate the path for the [C] to walk to the truth.
"It was kinda hard to tell."
Good song.
Knew a guy, he had those kinds of experiences, his mental balance was shattered (imo) and became right.
Gifted guy, but so deeply fucked up.
Paranoid, suspicious of everybody.

He had some admirable qualities.
We think of him now and then.
Lost touch.
People that only think with half their brain/mind are missing some info, as well as cutting off possibility of communicating effectively to some of the [C].
Unfortunately there are vulnerabilities associated with using the rest of the brain/mind.
Glad to hear it fren.

Bach - Erbarme dich, mein Gott

Looked up the piece by name, never heard this performance before. Startling to see a REAL counter-tenor singing the alto solo (as it would have been done in Bach's day, early 17th century). Very beautiful, impeccable performance. The violin obligato is equally stunning too. Appears to be original performance practice, original instruments and tuning, for those who care.

Part 2
That was interesting. Enjoyed it.
OMG that is so beautiful!!!
Love that song.
Song is very special to me. A certain person, who is no longer among the living, played it for us, in his car, during our last visit seeing him alive. Only time he ever did anything like that. It was Leonard Cohen version. If he had
lived, he would have been an anon. He had been active on IRC for a long time.
Thank you Cee for the invitation into this sanctuary. >>5634
Music is transcendent. Those pieces of music I chose to share from my heart because they (for me), as has been mentioned, flow from a higher place of love and beauty. The orchestral segues of the first two pieces lift my energy in unexpected ways, and will at times move my spirit to tears. I am often brought back to a place of joy.
The third piece is very special to me as well. Elegant in the simplicity of the chord progression, as well as in the words and the vocals, this song will bring me to a place of stillness. The Leonard Cohen version is so wrenchingly melancholy and passionate. It is a love song. You were very blessed to know the man who played it for you.
I first heard this song while at a fine dining restaurant just last year.. A young man, perhaps late highschool or early college age, after first asking for permission, literally Jumps Over the retaining wall, goes up to the piano, and tears off this piece. I was in awe of his passion and bravery.

^^ was for you.
"Story to tell" is not a song on this album.
> It is from "The Sound of Perseverance" album
So not sure what you mean.
Each Album tells a separate story if you look really deep into their lyrics.
The are from FL and created What is now known as "death metal".
I do not understand this kind of music.
The lyric are very powerful as well as the music.

I will listen to Dragonforce. Spouseanon knows & likes them, he says Fire and Flames is their best and Fury of the Storm is 2nd best. I've probably never heard either. We each listen with headphones, kek.

Be at peace, my frens,
For your efforts are worthy.
*
Open to the flow.
Let it happen, let it go.
Let it fill you.
You are eternal spirit.
*
In the quiet, in the roar,
In this moment evermore,
I can hear you.
In the stillness, in the power,
In this neverending hour,
I can feel you.
As a tiny molecule tumbled in the flow,
Embrace the moment.
There you go.
And the spirit rides you.
The spirit hides you.
You understood the truth.
From first moments of your youth
In the breath of the heart
In the flow, from the start
There you go.
Burning lava like a crown
Spirit fire, come on down!
Holy pressure, will I drown!?
In the sorrow, in the glory,
Eternal moment, endless story.
There you go.

You can pretty well assume that I never heard anything from a band that features any satanic imagery. You cannot possibly imagine how naive I am.
I'll check it out later. A lot of people listen to music while working. I cannot - music generally grabs almost 100% of my attention. Hate grocery store music. Elevator music. Delivery vans that drive up with the radio blaring.
My mother always had the radio on. Classical mostly. When I was learning to drive I would go out with mom. We used to play a game. Who could recognize the classical piece on the radio the quickest. If not the exact piece, at least the era. Maybe even ID the composer, the performer, and even what key it was in.
Mom always had the radio on. She had it on way too much. There was always a background music. Dad didn't have an ear for music but having the radio on was OK with him.
I usually only listen to music these days if I intend to really pay attention to it. Rebellion against upbringing?
Yeah I listened to a song by Aerosmith last night. Never heard them before. It was pretty good.

I love music. But is beyond me to be able to preform. Many have tried to teach me and its just not possible. I was kicked out choir at church because I could not sing in key. My younger brother is a drummer. And i lived with people who where in band all though my 20s many of them tried to teach me either drums or guitar. FAILED all of them.
I am beyond help when it come to keeping rhythm.
>To me it just seems gross. And not a wise choice to stuff one's subconscious with?
IT is simply used to be part of "Counter Culture."
To piss off Parents and sell to children.
Children/Young Adults like what their parents say they cannot like.
The misfits are considered Horror Punk. A genre of their own. (I do not listen to their current music) Only while Glenn Danzig was part of the band.
The lead singer is a big fan of Anton Levey. The Creator of the church of satan.
They use Face paint and their symbol is the fiend.
Fiend means "an evil spirit or demon." Or "Devil" or "a wicked or cruel person."
Lyrically they are "Dark" or have to do with Politics or counter culture.
< Image 1
WOW never hear Aerosmith. (Mind Blown) They are a huge band and Steve Tyler is very recognizable.

Or at least this is how I personally feel.

Rebellion is fine, and every generation does it, for sure. (I'm glad the long hair is back in style, mine has never been short since age 10).
But not to rebel against that which is wholesome, useful, moral, virtuous.
"Crescit sub pondere virtus"
It thrives, under oppression, virtue.
Does anyone know what virtue is?
Or how to get it? and keep it?
Is virtue a constant?
Can virtue be learned or taught?
Is there a way to test any given moral principle, to find out if it is "virtue"?
We don't proselytize. There is a Biblical reason why we don't. Many groups do. If someone is genuinely curious of course we will talk to them.

>Is there a way to test any given moral principle, to find out if it is "virtue"?
Virtue is only defined in each (wo)mans mind.
Virtues are crafted by beliefs nature and nurture.
Not all can see or hold the same Virtues. For they are only crafted in eaches mind.
Think of how the bible request some to kill their children. (Not just 1x)
Are they virtuous because they were told by god or do they LACK virtues for being able to kill their children.
For god said he was a jealous god and to never take any gods before him.
Does that make God not virtuous for he suffers from jealousy?
God told Abram to sacrifice his son Isaac, not because God wanted Isaac killed, but to find out of Abram was obedient. The sacrifice did not take place. God's purpose was to insert an important narrative into the timeline. The narrative foreshadowed God's sacrifice of His son Jesus. It was to inform the people of Israel about this opportunity for their salvation, by putting the info right into their scriptures, millenia ahead of time. Unfortunately they did not recognize their Messiah. God is a loving God and that's why he gave them a good, long opportunity to see what was coming.
God loved/loves his people. He does not want them to go whoring after foreign gods (idols etc.) The "jealousy" described in the OT is not like human jealousy (covetousness). Rather, it is analogous to how God told the prophet Hosea to go marry a prostitute. Hosea married her. She remained a whore and left him. He still loved her and wanted her to be faithful. It is an ANALOGY for the loving relationship between God and his faithful followers, and how even though people sin, they still can return to God.
A lot of what's in the Bible can be understood quite differently by using a filter of symbolism. Layers and layers of symbolism. Deliberately placed into the text. Widely misunderstood and misinterpreted.
Funny, witty, very true! I agree.
>God told Abram to sacrifice his son Isaac, not because God wanted Isaac killed, but to find out of Abram was obedient
Obedience is that a Virtue?
Obedience to whom is virtuous?
The Zionist believe they should OWN and Destroy the Goyim for their god says it is so, For they are His Chosen peopleโฆ
>Unfortunately they did not recognize their Messiah.
Or did they and they chose not believe.
For when they crucify him they stated "INRI" "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews"
Was that only for Irony or more Symbolism?
Foreshadowing of Peter's denial of Jesus?
>God loved/loves his people. He does not want them to go whoring after foreign gods (idols etc.) The "jealousy" described in the OT is not like human jealousy (covetousness).
Pending what version you read it can be interpreted differently.
https://biblehub.com/exodus/34-14.htm
God was Talking of GOD's not of men who are idols.
For he mentions not taking idols of man as well in Exodus to Moses on Mount Sinai.
Also do not cast Idols of any kind. (Meaning do not create NickNacks of other gods or men) to be worshiped.
He (God) also requested that you sacrifice your first born and all of your first of live stock for no man shall come to me empty handed.
Is this also Virtuous to do these things for God at your own loss?
All of their song are like that. They are hilarious. They had a very short lived show for a while.
The Israelites of Jesus time were worldly and legalistic, not spiritually minded. They believed the messiah was supposed to be an earthly king who would save them from political oppression by the Romans. That's why they put the sign mocking him. They missed the point entirely.
Not going to engage in religious debate here. Disagree with many of your comments, but would take a lot of effort to explain why, that I'm not ready to put in right now.
<3 Still love you fren
Idolatry means elevating anything that is not (the) God. At the time the OT was written the tribes had all kinds of things they worshipped, which in the Bible are often referred to with lower case G as 'gods'. They were considered 'gods' by the people who worshipped them, but they were not capital G God.
Today there is all kinds of idolatry going on, worship of carnal pleasures, money, material success as society defines it, of anything physical/material that takes people away from what they should be paying attention to.
I said I wasn't getting into it, didn't I. Kek.

>The Zionist believe they should OWN and Destroy the Goyim for their god says it is so, For they are His Chosen peopleโฆ
They understand wrong. God's people are the people who are faithful to God. The OT Israelites had a chance to be faithful and they blew it. God still wants them to turn around and become faithful. But as Paul wrote in the NT, the gentiles were grafted onto that tree like a wild olive grafted onto a root stock.
>Obedience to whom is virtuous?
If there really is a God who created us all, and everything around us, then being disobedient to Him would be a big mistake.
>We used to play a game. Who could recognize the classical piece on the radio the quickest
My recollection is that I always won.
Sure developed the autistic memory, kek.
>The Israelites of Jesus time were worldly and legalistic, not spiritually minded.
โฆand still are.
They believe the OT is purely history, not allegory/symbolism. I have debated with Jews and learned how they view their scriptures. That's why God said they are a stiff-necked people. Stiff-necked means arrogant and stubborn, won't bow their heads when appropriate.

>To understand the Light you must also understand Darkness.
I really do not have an answer. But these are all in me.
But we are already immersed in Darkness! Do we really need to seek out Darkness, or is the Darkness of this world enough to provide that stark contrast? (Eph 6:12 pic) Related Bible quotes: Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. Romans 12:1-21. Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour - 1 Peter 5:8. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil - Proverbs 3:7
Some other would say, to understand Light, one must immerse himself in moar and moar Light! Meditate, experience the Light, accept the gift of the Spirit. The new age would say raise the vibration. (Personal testimony: When one does this, the experience is so powerful and compelling that nothing of this earth comes close; Darkness holds no attraction, and Light is all. Pic 2 Drink up! water from the Throne of the Lamb)
The zen people would say, don't make two. [This means, don't mentally adopt divisions and categories.] Don't make dark, don't make light. Just go straight, "Don't know". Just do it 100%. [Make a "revolution" in your own mind, become clear by making unity within your mind. And do whatever you are doing 100% with full attention "Be there now".]
Contradictions? Or all saying the same thing in different ways?
Word fall short. The Bible had to use earthly language (it's all we have) to describe spiritual matters. To understand the spiritual matters we read the Bible's language as metaphor and imagery (word paintings) and typology. Bible literalists and Jewish "Torah is a history book" don't get this.
BTW. Many Christians quote scripture to assert that only those who accept Jesus as their savior are saved. (Exclusivity - think Billy Graham Crusade style).
I have a problem with that. I do not believe that. I do NOT believe people are automatically condemned if they do not follow the evangelical pattern of salvation. How do they reconcile Romans 2:12-16?
For all who have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.
For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified.
For when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law.
They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even excuse them
on that day when, according to my gospel, God judges the secrets of men by Christ Jesus. (Romans 2:12-16)
Paul wrote in grammatically complex, scholarly, difficult-to-parse Greek. The many Bible translations have a lot of trouble rendering his words. Paul's language is among the most obstruse in the entire Bible and scholars debate meanings.
What Romans 2:12-15 means to me is that there are those (gentiles, in a broad sense meaning people who don't know or don't accept the Law of Moses), who nevertheless have God's Law written on their hearts. "Written on their hearts" means they ACT in accord with God's laws, i.e. love their neighbor, don't murder, don't steal, etc.
The next Sabbath almost the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord.
But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy and began to contradict what was spoken by Paul, reviling him.
And Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, saying, It was necessary that the word of God be spoken first to you. Since you thrust it aside and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we are turning to the Gentiles.
(Acts 13:44-46)
The "church" (meaning the people who identify as followers of Christ, I'm not talking about specific denominations) โ and the OT "chosen people" who HAD the law and did not obey it and rejected the messiah when they were offered a chance to turn away from pharisee legalism) will be judged first:
For it is time for judgment to begin at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? (1 Pet 4) [notice Peter does not say what will happen to those who don't obey the gospel, it's a socratic question!]
Some refer to that as the firstfruits judgment. There is another later judgment, and some who did not have the "law" will be found to have the law written on their hearts even though they did not "identify as followers of Christ".
This is the primary reason why I do not condemn those who do not accept Christ as their savior at this time.
Jesus also said I have flocks you know not of. Which means expand our thinking. It means there were/are/will be people(s) somewhere, of whom we are unaware, who in their own way are doing what the law requires, whether or not they know Jesus.
So this sort of refutes the evangelical idea that the gospel has to be preached to all nations before the end.
So I hope nobody thinks I am trying to persuade anyone of anything. Just saying how I see it, and acknowledging that I'm not a teacher and could be wrong. Think for yourself. Are there different paths that get to the same place? Or strait is the gate and narrow the way, and few there be who find it?

My thoughts after morning walk. Always seems to clear up the mind a bit and allow for insights.
We are here at 8kun, /abcu/, etc. because we crave Truth. WE are PASSIONATE about Truth. We understand that Truth is hard to find and that many claim to have a handle on it, only to be in conflict with others who also claim to have a handle.
How much of Truth is objective? Subjective? Is it even possible to convey a Subjective Truth to another person? If they experience a subjective truth that they say is the same as ours, is it really the same? Is there any way to know?
I think that Together, we have the possibility to uncover more Truth than individually. So I LOVE hearing what each has to say. Because each has different experiences that are valid to them.
Messaien was seeking truth in his way, just as we are seeking it each in ours way.

Words are bad. (Not Evil type bad, but lacking in ability to convey) We cannot convey many things due to our/their limited knowledge (of words/symbolism/metaphors/etc) or equal understanding between 2+
>BTW. Many Christians quote scripture to assert that only those who accept Jesus as their savior are saved.
I was saved over 2000 years ago.
As i child I had a small breakdown at a church camp due to the preacher telling me i needed to be saved. I tried to explain to him that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and that I did not need to be saved by other men. It was very tramatic for me at the time because i could not comptemplate that I would need to be saved by a man
I grew up Roman Catholic (Even went to catholic school for ~4 years)
So I agree with you 100%
>Paul wrote in grammatically complex, scholarly, difficult-to-parse Greek
Being able to read the OG scripture in the native tongues would be the only way. But I am unable to learn (Hebrew, Greek, Aramaic, and the other languages used in Biblical text) So sadly will have to due with "bad" translations and others ideas.
>So I hope nobody thinks I am trying to persuade anyone of anything. Just saying how I see it, and acknowledging that I'm not a teacher and could be wrong. Think for yourself.

I like to say Perspective is a hell of a drug. And no amount of trying to relate will give another your perspective.
For no man can truly understand another perspective. Even if they try to place themselves in another's shoes (So to say.)
But with Time, Patience and (Attempting) Understanding You can come closers to anothers perspective but never reach equality of perspective. For Perspective is Unique like each person.

We are PASSIONATE about these matters because what could be more central than the question of why are we here, what are we supposed to do, how to do it, what is REALLY going on, etc etc etc. We use language to the best of our ability, recognizing that it always falls short.
What if the multiverse theory is correct? Current physics (grain of salt) says it is correct. What if when the Bible or other scriptures talks of 'heaven' or 'higher realms' or 'enlightenment' or 'eternal life' or โฆ (fill in the blanks) โฆ it is talking about something real, concrete, but currently inaccessible to us, where there does exist a path to access it. What if the events described in the Bible and other texts are 3-dimensional 'shadows' of real events occurring in a timeless realm called heaven? Understanding changes quite a bit when one assumes that God/heaven is a timeless realm, outside of time, that casts shadows/ripples upon the 3D canvas we are currently stuck in. Many shadows of the same heavenly event, scattered across our timeline. That would explain why "prophecy" seems to be fulfilled in past historical time, while also predicting future events, and possibly displaying many partial fulfillments. If they are only shadows vaguely seen by us.
What blocks the light from that timeless eternal realm, in order that shadows be cast upon our 3D? Is the thing blocking the heavenly light good or bad? If we did not have the shadows would we be totally lost? Or would we be bathed in that light?

Lyrics (in Portuguese)
Tarde uma nuvem rรณsea lenta e transparente.
Sobre o espaรงo, sonhadora e bela!
Surge no infinito a lua docemente,
Enfeitando a tarde, qual meiga donzela
Que se apresta e a linda sonhadoramente,
Em anseios d'alma para ficar bela
Grita ao cรฉu e a terra toda a Natureza!
Cala a passarada aos seus tristes queixumes
E reflete o mar toda a Sua riquezaโฆ
Suave a luz da lua desperta agora
A cruel saudade que ri e chora!
Tarde uma nuvem rรณsea lenta e transparente

Afternoon a slow, transparent pink cloud.
About space, dreamy and beautiful!
The moon appears sweetly in infinity,
Dressing up the afternoon, like a sweet maiden
Who gets ready and the beautiful dreamily,
In longings of the soul to be beautiful
Scream to heaven and earth all Nature!
Shut the pass to your sad complaints
And the sea reflects all its wealth โฆ
Soft moonlight awakens now
The cruel longing that laughs and cries!
Afternoon a slow and transparent pink cloud
About space, dreamy and beautiful!

Anonymous is/was real.
]they[ picked you out of a large pool of people, to do exactly what you are doing now.
]they[ brought me here too. We were independent researchers from Fukushima, Pizzagate, monetary metals manipulation, going back to late 1990s. I did not know anything about the chans and was not political. Did not vote in '16. Our world got kicked to pieces by 911 and everything changed.

Yes. Things we would not even consider doing alone, simply appear when we are working together. It is magical. It is inspiring. WE are more than the sum of the parts.
>Just wish the MONEY was there KEK.
Yes. The money thing. I worry about you sometimes. I can see ways the money thing would get resolved in a very positive way (for all of us) but after 20+ years I am not falling for hopium about that. Used to follow every market movement minute by minute watching for clues. Not interested in doing that anymore. Just waiting. Waiting. Waiting.
AWK is great.

we don't live in a world of reality bโฆ
ut in a world of perceptions.
Our nervous system, perceptual apparatus, & mind, can be manipulated and are not objective truth. The vid demonstrates that. It's what the Heart Sutra (chanted daily by many Mahayana Buddhists) is about, too.
Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva
when practicing deeply the Prajna Paramita
perceives that all five skandhas are empty
and is saved from all suffering and distress.
Shariputra,
form does not differ from emptiness,
emptiness does not differ from form.
That which is form is emptiness,
that which is emptiness form.
The same is true of feelings,
perceptions, impulses, consciousness.
Shariputra,
all dharmas are marked with emptiness;
they do not appear or disappear,
are not tainted or pure,
do not increase or decrease.
Therefore, in emptiness no form, no feelings,
perceptions, impulses, consciousness.
No eyes, no ears, no nose, no tongue, no body, no mind;
no color, no sound, no smell, no taste, no touch,
no object of mind;
no realm of eyes
and so forth until no realm of mind consciousness.
No ignorance and also no extinction of it,
and so forth until no old age and death
and also no extinction of them.
No suffering, no origination,
no stopping, no path, no cognition,
also no attainment with nothing to attain.
The Bodhisattva depends on Prajna Paramita
and the mind is no hindrance;
without any hindrance no fears exist.
Far apart from every perverted view one dwells in Nirvana.
In the three worlds
all Buddhas depend on Prajna Paramita
and attain Anuttara Samyak Sambodhi.
Therefore know that Prajna Paramita
is the great transcendent mantra,
is the great bright mantra,
is the utmost mantra,
is the supreme mantra
which is able to relieve all suffering
and is true, not false.
So proclaim the Prajna Paramita mantra,
proclaim the mantra which says:
gate gate paragate parasamgate bodhi svaha
gate gate paragate parasamgate bodhi svaha
gate gate paragate parasamgate bodhi svaha.

When I'm with you, it doesn't matter where we are
Or what we're doing, I'm with you, that's all that matters
Time passes much too quickly when we're together laughing
I wish I could sing it to you, oh no
I wish I could sing it to you
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Mostly I'm silent mmm silent la la la la la
Never think about words to say
When I kiss you, I feel a thousand different feelings
The color of chills all over my body
And when I feel them, I quickly try to decide which one
I should try to put into words, oh no
Try to put into words
Mostly I'm silent silent la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la
Silent
Only the beginning of what I want to feel forever yeah
Oh no whoa yes
Only the beginning, only just the start
I've got to get you into my life
Got to get you next to me
Only the beginning, only just the start
Only the beginning
Only the beginning
Only the beginning

listening this is good. I heard this band on tv a long time ago and wanted to hear more, what other songs are good?
I don't know. Back in the day, I did not turn on the AM radio to hear tunes (was a classical snob! with maybe a bit of folk and folks-rock when I was slumming), but heard them in the environment of course.
I'll peruse the Chicago tunes and find you some more good ones. Maybe get to it tomorrow if not tonight.

[Intro]
[Verse 1]
Well my pad is very messy, got whiskers on my chin
Never had no problems 'cause I've always paid the rent
I got no time for loving, 'cause my time is all used up
I stand outside creating all the groovy kinds of love
[Chorus]
I'm a man, yes I am and I can't help but love you so
I'm a man, yes I am and I can't help but love you so
[Verse 2]
If I had my choice of matter, I'd would rather be with cats
All engrossed in mental chatter, showing where your mind is at
While relating to each other, how strong the love can be
By resisting all the good times with each groovy chick we see
[Chorus]
I'm a man yes I am and I can't help but love you so
I'm a man yes I am and I can't help but love you so
[Verse 3]
I've got to keep my image, while I'm standing on the floor
If I drop upon my knees, it's just to keep them on my nose
You think that I'm not human and my heart is made of stone
But I've never had no problems, 'cause my body's pretty strong
[Chorus]
I'm a man yes I am and I can't help but love you so
I'm a man yes I am and I can't help but love you so
I'm a man yes I am and I can't help but love you so
[Instrumental bridge]

Colour My World
As time goes on,
I realize
Just what you mean
To me
And now,
Now that you're near,
Promise your love
That I've waited to share
And dreams
Of our moments together
Color my world with hope of loving you

Make Me Smile
Children play in the park, they don't know
I'm alone in the dark, even though
Time and time again I see your face smiling inside
I'm so happy
That you love me
Life is lovely
When you're near me
Tell me you will stay
Make me smile
Living life is just a game so they say
All the games we used to play fade away
We may now enjoy the dreams we shared so long ago
Oh my darling, got to have you. Feel the magic when I hold you
Cry sweet tears of joy, touch the sky
Now I need you more than ever. No more crying - we're together
Tell me you will stay. Make me smile

Lyrics
"You Are On My Mind"
You are on my mind
The echo of your laughter flowing through me
Sitting by a mountain fire
And wishing you were in my arms
And loving me completely
Rocky mountain highs are very nice
But you are gone and nothing's quite the same
L.A. is so far away and I can't
Stand another day
Without you by my side
Though I've tried, tried, tried
You are on my mind
You are everything a woman could be
Consequently I believe that no one
Else could take your place if you
Should ever leave me
I'll be coming home again to you
And look upon the woman that I love
There is nothing I can say that celebrates
The special way you keep me satisfied
Pretty girl
(break)
Feeling just a little lonely
Wishing you were in my arms
Yeahโฆ..
You are on my mind
The echo of your laughter flowing through me
Sitting by a mountain fire
And wishing you were in my arms
And loving me completely
Rocky mountain highs are very nice
But you are gone and nothing's quite the same
L.A. is so far away and i can't
Stand another day
Without you by my side
Though I've tried, tried, tried.

Interesting video documentary about how Dmitrii Shostakovich managed to express outrage and horror at the events occurring during the 1930s-40s in the Soviet Union, while surviving under their system of repression. Other artists were silenced or even killed if they tried to compose music expressing political views.
Has relevance to the repression by Big Tech that we face today.
Youtube censored the first version of this video because it mentioned Stalin and Hitler.
So the narrator remade the video to demonstrate YouTube's censorship in light of Soviet censorship faced by composer Shostakovich.
